Trump received the most votes. Under the Constitution, the President is elected by the states through the electoral college. If you wish to change that, you will need a constitutional amendment to do that.

Ya calling the electoral college voters?

They certainly do vote. Votes are counted just before inauguration. Maybe a little dab of civics might help you understand what is happening. Also the electoral college was instituted because the founders knew full well a handful of people would be able to control the futures of all Americans. Who in their right mind would want DeBlasio or Pelosi as president. It would have happened with Hillary. If you pray you might offer a prayer of thanks that Donald Trump is president. Not what would be like a 3rd and 4th term for Obammy if there was no electoral college. Just like the founders predicted and prevented. I'll repeat a former statement. "Donald J. Trump's election is the best political event of my 85 year lifetime."
Finally an "American" is in command not some political shadow entity shoved in by a party of losers even whose elgibility is certainly open for debate.
BTW this why we are not a democracy but a democratic republic. Pardon my swearing using that d word.

The general TERM voters does not indicate the electoral college electors. The general TURM voters is understood as the individual voting in the election.

The Electoral College is a body of electors established by the United States Constitution, which forms every four years for the sole purpose of electing the president and vice president of the United States.

can't fault your second sentence as it is just what I said.
The first sentence makes no sense to me. Who's definition are you trying to spell out?
And the electoral college certainly does vote. Where do you think the minimum 270 votes comes from?
I never read anywhere in the Constitution that electors couldn't vote in the general election so in effect they can vote and be counted in the popular and the electoral college voting as well.
I don't get what you are trying to defend.

And your point is? Seems like we got the right person in both popular votes and electoral college.

Read the Constitution and you may understand how the President is elected. If you want to understand why this was put into the Constitution, I would recommend reading the essays called the Federalist Papers. These were written at a post graduate level, I don't know if there is a grade school level version available. Maybe Sicilian knows.

EN Submarine Qualified: THANKS...more of these "truths in here" and the phonies will disappear with
their negative comments that they "make up" as they go along. Thanks...keep it up. As in Alinsky's theory
....keep telling a lie (as the Dems do) and pretty darn soon, THEY THINK IT IS GOSPEL! They really
think they are smart that way and their ignorance is on display every time they open their mouths
with their hate and lies and deceit....(they were taught that...no honesty and goes back DECADES!)
"and the truth shall make us ALL FREE!"

Ya missed the whole point. Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3 million votes by the VOTERS.

So.. And the electoral college properly put him into office instead of Obammy's protege Hilarious.

You folks had better serious up. This country and our way of life are under attack by Soros and the NWO as well as the Chinks and Islam. You had better recognize this and take appropriate action.
The reason I say 'you folks' is I can't see me being a part of the program with me now at 85. So good luck and you might start/continue praying.

Really cute BadBob. You are either part of the problem are part of the solution. You can't even recognize there might be a problem, never mind a solution.

What do you think about term limits?

All members of the House and Senate should be limited to 2 terms.

If you are in the house, and want to run for the senate or president, you must first vacate your current position. Same goes for people in the senate.

No more retirement or insider trading.

These are my suggestions, feel free to add to the list.

Term limits, and NO lifetime salaries.

The problem is, the only way we get term limits, is through a congressional vote on an amendment. As far as I know, Rand Paul tried one and it got shot down.
