The Republicans, led by the trump petulance will stop at nothing..

This another sample of the tactics to shut down the vote..

Here in AZ I had been on the permanent “mail me a ballot” program for years. I recently got something in the mail asking me as a person not registered Democrat or Republican to specify one or the other for a primary ballot. It looked a bit suspicious; why would I have to specify one or the other if I didn’t care about voting in the primaries? So I went up online to check my status and found I had been removed from the permanent vote-by-mail category.

Yes, Mr. President, there is voter fraud going on. It’s being done by the Republican stronghold - at least in Arizona - to disenfranchise mail voters, in the hopes that if we have to go to our polling station in November rather than send in a ballot, we might just no vote.

So I thought hmmm; if I return the mailer and mark it Democrat am I going to get a ballot in the mail, or am I more likely to get a mail-in ballot if I check Republican?

What do you think?

Not the first time AZ has tried to disenfranchise voters they didn’t want to vote. A couple of years ago they opened so few polling places during a primary vote that the lines were enormously long and people complained about them for months. And now the Republican Party is trying to discourage mail-in ballots? President Trump’s own words on the subject say it all, words to the effect that “if we allow mail-in ballots Republicans won’t win an election anywhere ever again.” I certainly hope so…

They're a little more slick ( so they think ) in AR. There's a deadline for absentee/mail in ballots to be received. The Sec. of State sees the results before in person polls open - so - if it doesn't look good for the GOP................those ballots get "misplaced". Our law states that ANY ballot received after the in person polls close are invalid and may be trashed without recording any results, so "misplaced" ballots aren't found until the next day. Pretty neat huh?

In 2016, my State declared trump the winner.............................with only 27% of precincts reported. Sounds like precognition yeah? The GOP legislature/administration wanted to be the first State to declare trump the winner. Guess what the final tally was? Trump - 51%, Clinton - 49%. Not a landslide. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that there were an estimated 15,000 absentee/provisional ballots not counted.................because they were accidentally misplaced and not found until the next day? If those ballots had been for Clinton, the tally would have been Clinton - 53% Trump - 47%.

No, those provisional ballots were counted the following day and were found to be 54%for Trump 40%for Clinton and 6% for Jill Stein. Trump would have extended his lead against Hitlery.
