Treasure stash worth over $1 million found in Rocky Mountains after decade-long search

I've been intrigued by this treasure hunt since I first heard about it. It has stirred up it's share of controversy over the years. Some say it never existed. Others claim it was found a few years ago. Mr. Fenn is even faced with a handful of lawsuits (all sound frivolous to me). At least five people died in their quest to locate it.

I have a schoolteacher friend who spent a whole summer looking for it. I joined him for a week but I only spent about half of a day searching for it and the rest of the week fishing, lol. There are so many rumors surrounding this subject that, who knows what to believe. I read an account this AM of a man who claims to know it was found in the San Juan Mountain Range (a part of the Rockies) between the SW Colorado gold mining towns of Ouray and Silverton (gorgeous country by the way). I have no idea how this person could know that, but if true, my friend was very close, as his base camp was just outside of Silverton.

I hope the location of where it was found is eventually revealed - I am very curious.
