I hope all these people buying guns learn how to use them safely & realize what is going to happen to them if they shoot anyone or even try to hold a gun on perpetrators, waiting for police to arrive. If you are holding a gun on perpetrators, the police will let all of them run away just to get you on the ground & handcuffed first. You are automatically the bad guy until proven innocent, & will be treated harshly. The cops will kill any dogs you have, if they bark at them or try to protect you, even it the dog is old & feeble.

Your home will be ransacked, computers, phones, any other guns, knives, whatever they want to take confiscated. Vehicle interiors will be destroyed, widows busted out trunks & hoods pride open even when they have the keys. Even if you have insurance to provide a lawyer, the odds of you ever getting your possessions back are slim & nil. You can forget about reimbursement for destroying you home, vehicles, shops, barns.e

Then only acceptable legal use of deadly force, even a blunt instrument is if you are inside your home with no available exit. In laymen terms, you are supposed to run away. If they are beating the front door in& you can get out your back door, you are supposed to use it. You have no legal right to physically hurt anyone setting fire to your house, car, barns, or shooting your livestock or pets.

Most law enforcement officers are as rabidly against citizens having guns as all liberal/leftists. Increasingly they think they are the only ones who should have guns.

Our patch is 20 minutes away for any law enforcement if there is no traffic. Our closest neighbor is over 1/4 mile away. I am in my 70’s, my wife is in her 60’s partially crippled from systemic lupus. We really don’t have a lot to lose, certainly don’t have money to rebuild house, cars. We both grew up with guns are more than proficient with them. We get plenty of practice on coyotes when the dogs & donkeys need help. We are not inclined to put up with being yelled at by anyone even if they have a badge. I reckon if rioters show up here they have picked the wrong patch. I have pretty well maimed people for life for shooting our livestock, thieves trying to steal equipment, never even thought about taking a gun even to the ones who had guns shooting the stock. Too old for that now.

Law enforcement officers, know good citizens will readily talk to them & take advantage of it. The absolute worse thing you can do is say anything, no matter how how much they yell & threaten. Don’t expect any apologies later or friendly greetings, do expect traffic tickets & vehicle searches.

I am not anti law enforcement, have helped several officers out over the years when they had more than they could handle, can’t say I still would, can’t say I would not but it did not used to be a decision. There was a time when they were part of the community. Now with all the bullshit movies, tv shows promoting them having to have their own bars, their jobs not allowing them to be a part of any community except their own they believe it. These shows were written on purpose to separate law enforcement from the citizens. Now these same people don’t want law enforcement at all.
