So I ask you, what purpose would simple smoke canisters have had. Nobody is using just smoke in these protests as all it does is hide what is happening, it is not an effective measure for crowd dispersal, you have to ask what was in that smoke? Spent canisters recovered from the streets outside the park Monday by reporters were clearly labeled “Skat Shell OC.” The OC stands for oleoresin capsicum, the exact ingredient in pepper spray. If that isn't gas that causes tears and difficulty breathing I don't know what it is.

By the way, if Mattis still wanted to be in the administration he likely would be. He is the one that quit, Trump never fired him, again get your facts straight. Kelly confirmed this fact a few days ago.

And I do not support defunding the police at all, but once again that is something the far right groups want to achieve just as much as Antifa.

on my laptop I get every day. Dispute him, if you like...I don't really care but came to believe his reporters
are not biased and all those places were reporting tear gas and THERE WAS NONE....ONLY SMOKE.

Relaying on semantics are we? I would say in the grand scheme of things that tear gas and pepper gas, although they may have different active ingredients, both have the same purpose and result in the same effect. Pepper gas is a whole lot friggin different than smoke, and yeah, I should know. I spent many fire assignments with a can of pepper spray on my person in case the bears wanted to act up (would have much rather had a 44 magnum, but the only place they would allow us to carry that was in AK).
