I've eaten them, good just hard to clean. Love when carp run up creek to the dam to spawn. What a fight on a reel, more fun bow fishin em. Most folks throw em on the bank. Used to know how to make like tuna salad from em. Good eatin with saltines on a creek bank at night running trot lines.
