Is it possible the officer was MK Ultra’d and had his switch flipped to do what he did? Is that possibility going to be investigated before he ends up being Off’d in prison to prevent that possibility being confirmed?

Well, maybe I'm just unlucky but I have met evil people in every walk of life, the military, civilian life, horse people, and of course as a prison guard. Acts of kindness surprise me more than evil does today.

Today...on the way to the mini mart on the reservation I slowed down twice for suicidal quail.
There! I reported two acts of kindness. Are they surprising acts of kindness? I think people do that and stuff like that all the time...even mean people.

That's a very kind thing to say and I appreciate it.
I was in prison with people who had far more courage and honor than the suits occupying positions of authority in some of our institutions and who spent years there for far less.
