Right about what? Anyone who believes Chauvin's actions played no role in Floyd's death ain't firing on all cylinders.

For how long now has the "white cop vs black suspect encounter" been under the microscope? Considering the unprecedented volatility of our political and cultural environment today and past experience with encounters such as this, seems to me that police officers everywhere should, by now, understand that failing to exercise proper restraint when dealing with a compliant suspect of a different race could easily inflame the racial divide.

And, lookee what happened. This makes the Rodney King riots look like a Boy Scout jamboree.

In this case, it is especially troubling to see cops treating a man suspected of committing a non-violent white collar crime and who was apparently drunk and compliant as if he had committed armed robbery. Appears to me Chauvin and his 3 comrades aren't too bright.

We will never know now whether or not Floyd knew the bill was counterfeit.

There are holes all through this and I am sure Stuart London is already sorting through the sworn testimony.

I’m sure he is and most formidable at what he does, no doubt...

I’m looking forward to what he will find given the first autopsy report to the second to be done by the victims attorneys choice. Also no slouch...

What is the difference between a sword deposition and a normal deposition? The search engine came up empty for the term...

Read the complaint, witnesses said Floyd resisted arrest. Indeed, three of the witnesses were in the car with Floyd.

Sworn deposition carries with it penalties for distorting the truth or lying, perjury. Perjury carries a 5 year jail time. Although it is a rare occurrence for people to be charged. A deposition is a witness's sworn out-of-court testimony. It is used to gather information as part of the discovery process and may be used at trial. A deponent often become witnesses for either prosecutor or defendant when a matter goes to grand jury or trial.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the prior (if any at all) relationship between Chauvin and Floyd since they apparently worked at the same nightclub for a while. Could be nothing. Could be a complete game changer in this case. We shall see.

I am also interested in the comprehensive autopsy report.

The family of Floyd has hired Michael Baden, aka the Death Correspondent...who was fired from his job as ME for New York. If you watch tv, you may have watched his program called autopsy. I remember him from the OJ trial, the JFK hearing, and the Epstein case... If you want and need a diagnosis of murder....he would be the guy I would hire.

Their lawyer...is it the Benjamin Crump of the Zimmerman and Michael Brown cases? I followed him closely...providing it is the same attorney.

Derek Michael Chauvin worked at the club for 17 years as a security guard in the parking lot while Floyd took the job as bouncer inside the club after he was released from prison. According to the manager, she was not sure if they ever met or worked the same shift.

What surprises me is we still have white cops in minority neighborhoods.

I was aware of that two days ago, thank you. There will be more definitive info on this in the coming days. That's what I'm waiting for. If it is revealed that there was "bad blood" between the two, Chauvin is toast. Maybe it will be revealed that they had never met. People are digging into this. None of us know yet, but we shall know soon.

Bad blood....one would think the manager would have brought this up in the interview.

If the manager knew..

I've known coworkers to have issues that never got to management's attention...

I am watching live on Fox the line of National Guard in Minneapolis. They are near the wrecked precinct I think .

Black people are strutting back and forth waving camera phones in the faces of law enforcement who weren't even present during or responsible during Floyd's murder.

And there are creepy white people who look like Fringe lunatics fronting and making gestures and menacing the national guard.

What's that got to do with Floyd murder?

Why don't they just wait for the investigation!

They say hundreds of businesses were looted. Oh that's Intelligent.

All that's missing is a Prince music video of the violence.

"When Doves Cry....

....

"Why do we scream at other..."

I'm sorry to say the scenes of opportunistic looting and people getting off on menacing officers is making me less sympathetic.

The first night of the looting I saw a guy in the Target, running toward the camera. He was looting and didn't have a mask on. He was stealing... A king set of SHEETs.

That's a dark joke innit?

Maybe that cop had had too much up-against-it time on the job with ungrateful felons waving "don't shoot" in front of him.

I'm not in sympathy with the murderous basterd. But the mob has furnished him with a viable court strategy for the defense.

"Look your honor. This is what can happen at any moment. Is it any wonder I cracked under pressure, ?"

all this rebellious and cusp-of-violence feeling is what fed into that. They shredded the police station. That is just making a defense attorney's job sooooo much easier.

Maybe some portion of the thug threat played In to the cop's attitude. (I would have never thot that before but after seeing people were wrecking their own cimmunity...

And that Minneapolis mayor is weak. He should have called in the natl guard the minute they saw that video. Spinning it on Trump is ridiculous.

And when the MN governor will ask for emergency disaster money for all the ruined businesses OUR tax money will pay for this glut of opportunistic zeal.

Maybe experience with thugz like these amped the cop up too much and created an overkill mentality.

People watching him, cameras made him hyper aware... Him and those other guys were getting nervous...

The whole thing is overkill.
( With respect no pun intended)
I am watching live on Fox the line of National Gua... (show quote)

Video, Taze, handcuff, arrest and try the perps and looters.
Throw the book at them.

Arson for starters.

So yeah, kill him, that will keep him down. I never saw any video of him resisting at any point! Maybe there is more out there, but for now, what I see is murder, not restraint

bestpal38,

I agree 100% we are waiting for more info, but until then it is plain murder.

I'm looking forward to finding out what kind of relationship (if any at all) Chauvin and Floyd had previously since they worked at the same night club for a while. If it is discovered/revealed that they had butted heads in the past, resulting in a possible vendetta or some such, that obviously won't improve Chauvin's case. Could be something there, could be nothing. Stay tuned.

GoCubs

let's not try this case on the OPP, it would be a shame and a disgrace to our judicial system.

As long as we stick to a "National Enquirer" type of stuff, it's OK, just do not act as a jury, please.

I hope they are very thorough with the investigation... Would hate to see any sloppiness....

It might just be me... But the one cop who was at the front in the video looked very uncomfortable... I feel like he knew the situation was wrong... (just a feeling)

You should make movies, Canuckus, you'd be good at it, I sense.
