Last week, Arizona’s Governor signed into law one of the toughest bills cracking down on illegal immigration in the country. I applaud Arizona’s legislature for addressing this growing problem. However, now that presumably fewer people will cross into United States illegally through Arizona, Texas, as only one of four states that borders Mexico, is now even more vulnerable.
Therefore, Texas must address the illegal immigration problem next legislative session.

Data from the Urban Institute indicates that there are currently over 1.1 million illegal immigrants living in Texas (approximately 1 person in 22 living here).

The Federation for American Immigration Reform reports that Texas’ illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers more than $4.7 billion per year for education, health care and incarceration.

In fact, fiscal year 2004 data shows that the average cost to the State of Texas per day for incarcerated illegal immigrants is $40.06 per offender per day.

With at least 3,000 illegal immigrants incarcerated in our prison system, the state easily incurs a cost of over $44 million a year just on prisoners who are in our country illegally.

In addition to the economic impact, there are serious homeland security concerns ensuing as a result of our border problems in Texas.

Human trafficking, drug running and gang violence are growing problems in Texas. The Texas Department of Public Safety recently issued a statement to encourage students to avoid border towns during Spring Break because of recent kidnappings and sexual assault incidents.

As a state and as a country, we must do a better job policing who crosses our borders in order to best protect our citizenry.

To address this problem, Texas should pass a bill that accomplished the following:

Strictly enforces existing employment laws;
Penalizes cities that offer safe havens for illegal immigrants;
Requires tighter screening for all state social service programs;
Reports costs of state and local expenditures relating to illegal immigration to the federal government; and
Improves security along our borders.
Texas cannot afford to ignore the problems resulting from illegal immigration, and unfortunately, the federal government has been unwilling to accept its responsibility for protecting our borders and prohibiting limited resources from being used on people who enter our country illegally.

Therefore, we in Texas must put in place policies that are appropriate at the state level in order to ensure our resources are used to serve our citizens and protect our citizens from harm that can result from a border that is not secure.

Sir, the women in obama's white house make less than the men. Obama was complicit in causing the housing failure when as a community organizer he trained others to strong arm bank managers into giving loans to homeowners that they could not possibly afford. The president is squeezing all Americans and stealing our money to spend on things none of us want or support. With the abomination of obamacare he has created the largest tax increase in American history for a failed policy after he once again lied repeatedly to us assuring us this was not a tax. Many more people have lost their insurance and been hurt to date than have gained insurance under obamacare and it will only get worse. He failed as a community organizer on the main two projects he worked on. He has failed as a leader. He lied to us about healthcare. He lied to us about the NSA spying on you and me. He lied to us about the IRS. He lied to us about Benghazi as he watched our brothers being murdered which he and Hillary caused and while watching it in real time went to bed at 8:30 at night. He lied to us about his birth certificate which his own expert said is an electronic forgery and not even a good forgery. He lied to us about his relationship with radical terrorist and murderer Bill Ayers who is unrepentant. He lied to us about what he learned from his racist America hating mentor Rev. Jeremiah Wright who he loved before he through him under the bus. He has consistently stood up for radical muslim terrorist and refused to call acts of terror acts of terror so that even our own military families who lost loved ones in the Fort Hood shootings cannot collect benefits that their loved ones fought and died for. He lied to us about being a law professor when all he did was lecture a class or two and lied to us about his education in general. He lied to us in his book that Bill Ayers actually wrote. He lied to us about where he was born. If this is the kind of man you want to follow that is your right because Almighty God gives us free will. But I would encourage you to examine Barry, Barak Hussein very closely and look into your own heart and examine who you are as a man and who do you want to follow. Remember God is the God of truth. Satan is the father of lies. Obama is a liar and the truth is not in him. I will pray for you and I say that with a spirit of love.

I don't know if I'm doing this right. Trying to learn how to respond by quote reply. Yes, Romney would have made a much better president because he understands the economy and wasn't planning on destroying it. He also has some traits obama doesn't have like morals,ethics,character and concern for his fellow man. Sarah Palin was only running for vice president and obama was threatened because she had so much more experience than he did and she actually loves God and America and would also have made a better president, She cares about right and wrong and about regular working Americans. Remember when she gave all Alaskans money back that they had paid in and the state didn't use. I've never seen that happen before under any other Governor. If it were not for voter fraud the democrats would never win an election. That's why they don't want people to have to show I.D. at the polls. They want to give felons the right to vote. They want illegal aliens to vote. But they do not want our military men and women's votes counted because they tend to vote mostly Republican. That really burns me up. They put their lives on the line so we can be safe but the democrats don't want to honor their vote. That is just wrong man.
