You are scared. I've seen it on the battlefield many times. So you think the enemy has the answer. Actually what they have is the problem and they have so many people to lose that it is kind of hey who cares. The answer is so much simpler, just trust independent doctors rather than ones your MSM gives you.

Well put.

Wolf, According to the latest model that is used by the administration, the number of American deaths by Aug. 4 will be 147,000. Thats only the first wave. If this is anything like the Spanish flu, the second and possibly third surge will be far worse than the first. I know that you are a real man, not a wuss, so prove it by going to crowded places, believe everything the Donald says, and above all, don't listen to a word of what the medical authorities say, including the Presidents experts.

I read about that this A.M. too. Some cities in China have had to shut down again, solely due to reopening too soon. The scientists and medical experts have been warning Trump of this repeatedly over the past few weeks, to no avail.

Trump buried the seventeen page CDC reopening guidelines due to placing more import on the economy and his reelection than human lives.

It's obvious he would love to fire Dr. Fauci, but his hands are tied on that front as Dr. Fauci has a 68% (last poll number I saw about a week ago) approval rating from the U.S. public so Trump knows his approval rating would drop even further the day after he fired Fauci if he were to do so.

He has stymied testing all along (and still is) because he knows more testing means more positive results (he's worried a higher number of cases will make him look bad) - again, putting his reelection ahead of saving lives.

And, to your last point, the fact that he is now requiring daily testing of all those around him proves that he knows testing is important, yet he wants as little testing as possible for all other U.S. citizens. It's criminal (or at least should be).

Interesting, you obviously didn’t watch the Senate Hearing today. Dr. Fauci did not disagree with the President. Any reopening, at any time, will see some increase in Covid19, common sense. Dr. Fauci agrees the medical community is equipped to handle local outbreaks. Dr. Fauci also stated it made no sense to try and test everyone, but only people showing symptoms. If you and I were tested negative today, does that mean we will be negative tomorrow? See the problem?

How long should we stay locked down? At what point does the cure become worse than the disease? Should we have “one plan to fit all” directed from Washington, or should those areas of the country with little or no virus be allowed to open? If you would set aside your politics and simply appreciate the delicate balance these decisions are, you will be very happy you don’t have to make them.

I admit I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist. American troops really didn't have any vaccines during the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu pandemic. But an American by the name of William Crawford Gorgas believed a Cuban by the name of Carlos Finlay that is was caused by mosquitoes. After Gorgas retired as Surgeon general of the Army he went to work for the Rockefeller Foundation's Yellow Fever Commission. Later he was joined by Harvard Instructor Max Theiler who developed the 17D vaccine against Yellow Fever. Which allowed the completion of the Panama Canal. Theiler also joined the Foundation.

It was difficult getting to this site and information via Google and DuckDuckGo for some reason. Anytime I see Rockefeller, Rothschild, Sinclair, and others I get suspicious. They were rich but also had a knack for making tons of money from their Central Banks and other investments like war. They often funded both sides. Here is the link in case I can't locate it again.

Canuck..are you denying that China accused the American military of planting the virus.

A Chinese diplomat made the unfounded claim.

Lijian Zhao is the name of the diplomat.

If you can't find that on China's propaganda machine, you are truly being sheltered from the real China.

Zhao lijian asked a sarcastic question on Twitter...

And was criticized by the government for acting like an idiot...

Accusations have a much higher standard...

It was all over the news here...

Just without the added spin that somehow made it into a full on government policy

The second wave will be another scam with more cooked statistics designed to scare people into wanting a longer shutdown that will further hurt the economy and enhance Democrats chances in November. They want more people to lose their jobs and more businesses to fold. Just like they are hoping for mor deaths.

Liberty, You better inform all the medical experts, including those on Trumps team of these cooked statistics. They actually have the nerve to say that we can expect a second wave of the pandemic if things open up too soon. History has taught us that this is not only possible, but expected. The Spanish flu that killed so many people in 1917-18 had three surges, each one more deadly than the previous one.
Nobody wants to see business fail. We all have family and/or friends that own their own businesses. Nobody wants another big recession or depression, but the only thing worse is losing the life of somebody you love or yourself. Like I said, Bad times come and go, but death is forever. As I write, the death toll in this country is over eighty two thousand, and according to the experts, will rise to a hundred seventy thousand people. Stay well!

Communists brought this on.
The Democrats side with the Left.
Voters better remember that; and vote them out in November.

BTW:
When has Communism/Communists ever had respect for life?

It is amazing. And you are EXACTLY right about it being our only effective tool to prevent the spread. What's even more amazing to me though, is how many people here don't understand that.

By all accounts, China is handling this wisely. We would be smart/prudent to study the productive/effective methods they are using and learn from that. Sadly, we seem to be squandering that opportunity by ignoring them altogether. It is a golden opportunity that we are unwisely not taking advantage of.

I know this post will forever label me as a Chicom or whatever else these backward-ass non-thinking close-minded righty idiots on OPP want to call me. But I don't give a S#%T about them, and these are important points not to be taken lightly. I am a patriotic American. It would be impossible for me to sympathize with China. I'm simply pointing out the fact that they are very clearly handling this FAR better and much more wisely than we are, and that we should take heed. Stay safe, man.

GoCubs,

no need to be paranoid about your envisioned insults from the sub-humans here on the OPP.

Always remember those elected Governors, just a good example : New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan.

We know what is going on here, more or less, and you are asked to believe what the foreign powers tell you?

President Xi has you by the short hair, dude.

How many members have raced the the WHO ignored Taiwan's "warning"? (if one considers an inquery into the potential of human transmission, that openly admits it has no data showing the possibility to be a warning)

Yet I didn't see America paying attention to Taiwan either...

Conclusion: Either America has the worst information gathering and analyzing services in the world.... Or someone screwed up big time....

Canuckus Deploracus,

I am surprised that you don't understand the symbiotic relationship of PRC and Taiwan.

The Taiwanese had advanced notice of the coming infection in the late December 2019, that is why my Taiwan neighbor hastily cut her visit there and hightailed it back to the U.S.A.

We, in the despised West, were not so lucky, weren't we?

Conclusion: Someone screwed up big time, but who?

BTW: Have you visited your Canadian paisanos in the Chinese gaol?

Canuckus Deploracus,

your definition of a shutdown are very suspect.

The Beijing government works like a clockwork, the Shanghai financial centers hum along, while the 30 mil people are under house arrest, huh?

Have you read Lewis Carroll ? I mean "Through The Looking Glass".

Because I did not.
