I read about that this A.M. too. Some cities in China have had to shut down again, solely due to reopening too soon. The scientists and medical experts have been warning Trump of this repeatedly over the past few weeks, to no avail.

Trump buried the seventeen page CDC reopening guidelines due to placing more import on the economy and his reelection than human lives.

It's obvious he would love to fire Dr. Fauci, but his hands are tied on that front as Dr. Fauci has a 68% (last poll number I saw about a week ago) approval rating from the U.S. public so Trump knows his approval rating would drop even further the day after he fired Fauci if he were to do so.

He has stymied testing all along (and still is) because he knows more testing means more positive results (he's worried a higher number of cases will make him look bad) - again, putting his reelection ahead of saving lives.

And, to your last point, the fact that he is now requiring daily testing of all those around him proves that he knows testing is important, yet he wants as little testing as possible for all other U.S. citizens. It's criminal (or at least should be).

Liberty, You better inform all the medical experts, including those on Trumps team of these cooked statistics. They actually have the nerve to say that we can expect a second wave of the pandemic if things open up too soon. History has taught us that this is not only possible, but expected. The Spanish flu that killed so many people in 1917-18 had three surges, each one more deadly than the previous one.
Nobody wants to see business fail. We all have family and/or friends that own their own businesses. Nobody wants another big recession or depression, but the only thing worse is losing the life of somebody you love or yourself. Like I said, Bad times come and go, but death is forever. As I write, the death toll in this country is over eighty two thousand, and according to the experts, will rise to a hundred seventy thousand people. Stay well!

I admit I'm a bit of a conspiracy theorist. American troops really didn't have any vaccines during the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu pandemic. But an American by the name of William Crawford Gorgas believed a Cuban by the name of Carlos Finlay that is was caused by mosquitoes. After Gorgas retired as Surgeon general of the Army he went to work for the Rockefeller Foundation's Yellow Fever Commission. Later he was joined by Harvard Instructor Max Theiler who developed the 17D vaccine against Yellow Fever. Which allowed the completion of the Panama Canal. Theiler also joined the Foundation.

It was difficult getting to this site and information via Google and DuckDuckGo for some reason. Anytime I see Rockefeller, Rothschild, Sinclair, and others I get suspicious. It is amazing. And you are EXACTLY right about it being our only effective tool to prevent the spread. What's even more amazing to me though, is how many people here don't understand that.

By all accounts, China is handling this wisely. We would be smart/prudent to study the productive/effective methods they are using and learn from that. Sadly, we seem to be squandering that opportunity by ignoring them altogether. It is a golden opportunity that we are unwisely not taking advantage of.

I know this post will forever label me as a Chicom or whatever else these backward-ass non-thinking close-minded righty idiots on OPP want to call me. But I don't give a S#%T about them, and these are important points not to be taken lightly. I am a patriotic American. It would be impossible for me to sympathize with China. I'm simply pointing out the fact that they are very clearly handling this FAR better and much more wisely than we are, and that we should take heed. Stay safe, man.

Here's a nation that is very close to China economically, but in no way trusts the government... They didn't wait for China or the WHO to tell them there was some problem... Vigilant and willing to enforce the proper measures from the get go...

Total number of cases 440, with only 8 deaths...

How many members have raced the the WHO ignored Taiwan's "warning"? (if one considers an inquery into the potential of human transmission, that openly admits it has no data showing the possibility to be a warning)

Yet I didn't see America paying attention to Taiwan either...

Conclusion: Either America has the worst information gathering and analyzing services in the world.... Or someone screwed up big time....
