Ya know, I've been on this forum for a very short time, but I've already noticed an obvious trend. I consistently see anti-Trumpers constantly stating facts. What I don't see at all is Trump supporters stating ANY facts. The only thing I see Trump supporters doing is calling people names, saying that's BS, etc. I wonder why Trump supporters pretty much never state facts? Why is it that the only thing they seem to have as a retort is calling the anti-Trumpers a name? Why is it that all they can seem to reply is "that's BS?"

A clue would be when someone provides a link, it helps clarify things, like the source, author/writer, date, etc...

Kemmer, you know that is a lie. Why do you even say it.

Actually, Kemmer is right. This from ABC News this morning:

Before this (yesterday's disinfectant/sunlight statements) President Trump for weeks touted the promise of the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine as a potential "game changer" in the treatment for COVID-19 -- but since a new analysis of the drug’s use found a higher rate of death among patients who used hydroxychloroquine compared to those who received standard care, the president has mostly stopped pushing it as a possible life-saving treatment.

Do you have a clue as to why the rate of death might be higher in those who take the drug? No clue, huh? Let me help you out. The only ones who were given that drug were the ones who were dying already and it was done as a last resort. The normal death rate among others was not as great simply because the vast majority of Covid patients are going to recover anyway. I really don't understand this absolute ignorance of statistics. Of course you will never see that in the MSM or from Kemmer or any other liberal on OPP.

Let me correct a statement I made in the previous post. I do understand the ignorance of statistics. It simply doesn't fit the narrative they are preaching. They don't want to make it clear.

Hello,

I don't know if the only patients given the drug were already dying. I've been reading everything I can find on this and I've never been told that until now. If that is true (and I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt by assuming it is), then it seems like a very unscientific study (which it may very well have been). I don't know where you got that info, but it was presented to me in this way: "since a new analysis of the drug’s use found a higher rate of death among patients who used hydroxychloroquine compared to those who received standard care". Reading that one sentence, one would assume it was a fair and equal scientific study (again... maybe it wasn't - I don't know). It says nothing about the patients who were given the drug were already dying. Therefore, it is not an ignorance of statistics/facts. How can I ignore the statistics/facts when I was never given those statistics/facts in the first place? If you would, please cite your source. I would love to see it because if that is true, it just exposes another example of how any/all media can skew the news simply by omission. Thanks. Stay safe and Go Cubs!

I just ran across a post from user ACP45 that was posted at 4:10 this afternoon. It is quite extensive and delineates a study on this very thing. I'm not sure how to convey it to you but if you go to the user list at the top and put in ACP45 and go to his posts you can find it. It's very enlightening.

Thank you for getting back. I'll check it out. I'm curious to see what his source is. Mainly just to see if all these news agencies are purposely omitting a key fact.

Wow. That was a real eye opener. VERY interesting. Thank you. Looks like Big Pharma wins yet again. And CNN wins by discrediting Trump. I believe what I just read but it just makes me wonder why/how no one else (i.e. all major news agencies as well as even Trump himself) haven't picked up on this. It seems like Fox News would be screaming this from the rooftops. Maybe (hopefully) they will in the coming days. By the way.... I am not a liberal as I'm sure you think I am. Nor am I a Republican. Neither side is right 100% of the time as they both think they are - that's obviously impossible. I'm simply a Libertarian that likes to observe both parties. Obama was a do-nothing president and Hillary would've been a disaster. That said, short of his immigration policy, I VERY strongly disapprove of Trump's term thus far - especially the mind-boggling amount of blatant lies he spews on a daily basis. That, (among other things) coupled with the fact that he is also a terrible human being makes him VERY difficult to admire or look up to which I should (but admittedly have never been able to unfortunately) be able to do simply because he is the President of the U.S.A.

Thanks again. Stay safe. Go Cubs (if they ever get to play again)!

Good post gocubs.

None of them (repubs) & ( demos) perfect. Bush NDAA & Iraq war.
Obama bowing to other leaders around the world.
Guess being Ind. keeps one open minded and objective.
Again, good open minded post.

Good to have a reasonable chat. I do think most of what are called lies are simply twisted interpretations. As I've said for years, I have watched Trump from the 80's on and a consistent drumbeat has been -fairness for America. He definitely loves this Country. I wouldn't like to see him be Sunday School teacher at my Church but he wasn't elected to do that. He was elected to move this Country away from Socialism which we were getting dangerously close to. We pray for him every day and for our Country, the greatest Country ever. Have a good weekend and may the Cubs play ball soon, and well.

Thank you for that. I agree with every word. I have absolutely zero doubt he loves the U.S. Indeed, the greatest country ever. Loved the Sunday School part. It was well said. Trump DID inherit a terrible and very challenging situation that I know any president would have great difficulty with. In fact, if all of the candidates who ran in 2016 (in both parties) could have known that they were going to have to deal with something as unknown, unpredictable, horrific and taxing (to all) as this, I doubt any of them would've run.

Trump DID run into a humongous challenge and I do believe he is trying his best. But everyone is good at something while no one is good at everything. His forte is business/real estate. I just wish he would leave his gigantic ego at the door once in a while and listen to his experts on this. He does have them. His ego just keeps getting in the way. It seems that in his mind, he has to be the one to solve this all by himself. He has to be the one who gets the credit. That is starting to become a little bit dangerous. I just wish he'd set his ego aside for a while, although it's quite apparent by now that he simply isn't able to do that.

Nice visiting with you and stay safe, healthy and smart. Go Cubbies!

He's learning, but to expose the deep state players and traitors he had to allow himself to be betrayed. He learned who they were by being stabbed in the back. Now he is rid of most of them and as everyone knows the betrayal of a friend or loved one cuts the deepest. Trump is much tougher than I ever was. I would have fired Wray a long time ago unless he is working undercover, as a deep state player and playing a role. You can learn a lot by looking like you side with the opposition. By sitting on stuff, he sure appears to be on the other team.

I agree that I would like to see Trump exercise a bit less egoism and not have to get even every time. I wouldn't ask him to lay off the press as it is his only way to defend himself. The press themselves are certainly not going to ease up on him. If you'll notice, his press conferences seem to be dominated by reporters who are largely under 35 and are unmistakably contentious in their questioning. There is no doubt they are after him and he is not having any of it. Less time for bragging would be nice. I think he has the same view as Yogi did that, "It ain't braggin if you done it."

I don't usually respond to comments but I think Kevvy you really do not have a handle on this pandemic. Subscribe to the epoch times and get a real report of the pandemic. You really have TDS. Your hate is unamerican.
