For those of you who are selective about purchasing items made in China, be sure and check for their latest ploy of changing from "6" to "690-692" - - - -

Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products 'made in china', so they don't show from which country it is made. However, you may now refer to the barcode, remember if the first 3 digits are 690-695 then it is Made in China. All 480 Codes are Made in the Philippines.

The Chinese have gotten slick and removed the China tag. Look at the bar code and if the first 3 #'s are 690-692 it is made there.

Don't think so. They sell cheap stuff, which is made in China. They know we the people like cheap prices.
Can't make cheap in America due to unions, taxes, regulations, and the EPA. The EPA is why solar panels can't be made in America due to the toxic stuff used to make the matrix in them. Well, we could but at twice the price.
Wal-Mart has nothing to do with who or where it's made. They just buy in bulk and sell at low prices.

What are the codes for India, South Korea, Mexico, etc?? Is there a reliable code denoting made in the USA? I am an American, both wanting to and willing to, buy only American, but it is almost impossible to know today. For example, I plan to replace my elderly auto in the next few months, but from what I read, so much of the parts/pieces/materials of an auto are made in foreign nations and the auto is just "assembled" in the USA, maybe even in a factory here that is owned by foreigners. I know the world is a smaller place than it once was, but I find so much of these actions of my country insane and totally against the best interests of American citizens and our future.

Doesn't Walmart have production factories in China, and maybe elsewhere??
