I haven't found any conservative friends that aren't saying they will not be venturing out for a long time. Things aren't going back to any kind of normal for a long time.

Trump pays lip service to this being up to governors, but obviously plans to wage a pressure campaign by withholding things from states that don't comply with his suggestions.

It would make better sense to have a chance to see what maintaining social distancing does compared to states that go with trump ideas. I think he knows there will be a big difference and wants to even the states up, including not doing testing at a federal level.

There are red states under reporting cases and deaths, and the result will be such a catastrophic degree of hospitals being overrun that there will be no hiding it.

Since we don't go to bars or restaurants, that doesn't matter. We make our own beer and it is very good and most of our friends are good cooks. Once we can all get together and share our good food, drink and friendship, life will start to get back to normal.

I don't think my red state is under reporting,I hope not because the cases keep going up everyday. But trump is definitely putting pressure on the governor to put people back to work,as cases continue to rise.A very foolish move to put people back to work now

What is important is the number of hospitalizations. Is that rising or falling ?

Well of course Trump is wrong! It doesn’t matter what the man does, you liberals would bitch and moan! You don’t have to worry about working, do you? There are many many many many people out in America that are not retired, they don’t have Social Security check coming in or their retirement to depend on! There are those that have children, a home, cars, other necessary commitments, that are dependent upon their providing MONEY to pay for these!!! Do you realize that most younger couples live from paycheck to paycheck? At what point will they loose everything? At what point does our economy Crash? I don’t know this answer, but you liberals don’t seem to consider the question! Have you ever watched dominoes fall? What happens to the world economy if America’s economy goes into a domino fall? Another question! Who are dying? It’s the elderly and those with underlying conditions! Is it not possible for the healthy to start slowly going back to work, while those in danger continue to self isolate? My point is this.... blaming Trump and refusing to actually consider this problem in its totality, will very likely kill millions if we cross the line of no return! We have to go back to work and there is a way to do this without thousands dying of the virus or dying of hunger!
IMHO

Absolutely! God gave us a brain to use! I read an article on South Dakota, very interesting.....they didn’t shut down! It stands to reason, that their numbers can be useful, I think! It definitely is an example of people being responsible for themselves!

I hear that, friends I associate with will be the ones that have taken this seriously. We very rarely eat out anyway, I'll miss going to wineries wine tasting, but have almost 300 bottles of wine properly cellared in a large refrigerated wine cabinet. I also miss shooting pool for money and having a few beers, but we have a pool table so my wife and I are making use of it almost every night.

I had a lot of respect for the south Dakota governor. She insisted on treating her constituents like adult americans!!! And she was under a lot of opposition from the liberals for it also. They just couldnt stand to see her not bow down to them

I've been watching Texas, and their numbers have been increasing as would be expected, I've seen some other states where increasing numbers have seemed to go flat when the earlier increases indicate they should be posting way higher numbers. Florida is one of those, and it doesn't stretch anyone's sensibilities to think things are being under reported. The US fever indicators show that Florida is soon going to have a huge explosion of cases and deaths, if cases are not reported accurately their deaths will go up disproportionally a few weeks later. Florida is aggressively suppressing their nursing home situation, as is many other states.

I'll go back to the bar as soon as their is an open bar to go to. A friend and I are going to celebrate in the last bar we were in as soon as it opens. Almost everyone was saying they would be back. For some of us, the camaraderie of a bar is a big part of our lives.
