I value elders. Who TF are you who don't?

Get some humanity, duds

And I don't mean dudes.

To whom are you referring? I try to be polite and respectful of others. I might not succeed always, but I try even with those I disagree.

To the idiots

Thank you for being polite & respectful kickaha, if you are really doing so.

Anyone who thinks "let them fend for themselves, that's what I do" is an underaged and inexperienced human being.

There's nothing wrong with fending for yourself, that's what I don't. I expect others to do the same to the best of their ability. But all of us need an assist now and then. Nothing wrong with that either. It is those who make no effort that I don't respect.

Clearly that is easy to agree with.

But where does no effort/product-of-circumstances overlap? And/or become a product of our "society"?

Some questions worth ironing out

I see it more with the younger people at work. They take no pride in what they do and think it's enough just to show up. I'm over 60 and those young pups can't keep up with me. That's what I mean by make no effort. Someone like my wife who is disabled, those are the ones that are deserving of our help.

We are in agreement about a few things then.

How does one protect the vulnerable has become the overriding message.

That's why we are shut down. A few extra weeks of it are necessary to keep us from a mass grave situation.

While waiting for an antidote, how do you propose keeping the vulnerable safe?

How about you keep your germy self away from them.

Where I live there are not many cases and most of those are in a couple of small areas. It would be relatively easy for us to go back to normal.

More than half the country is just like you. I live in metro NY where it is worse than Italy or Spain yet everyone goes to the grocery store, the hardware store, doctor appointments and we walk along the beach, around the block and more than half the people are still working. Yes, we wear masks and try not to touch anything or use a disposable tissue or Clorox wipe if we have to touch something, but its not like we're hiding in the house waiting for the zombies to get us. I believe most places could open up next week and Gov. Cuomo is hoping NY can open up around May 1; a bit optimistic for us I think, but not more than a few weeks past that for sure.
