I like garter snakes, ring neck snakes, black racers, and corn snakes. all I really don't like are copperheads and rattlesnakes, because they are poisonous. the other ones are necessary for control of rats and mice as well as many types of insect that ruin crops and spread disease. But then I also really like toads, so I guess I am really weird.

True, they are very good to have around, even toads, they just have a bad rap..

My wife always creates a few toad houses in the garden for them.. of which we have a lot..

When my little girl was little, she rescued an injured garter snake from the cat and took it inside, put a bandaid around it and kept it for several days. Then it got out and was never found.. such a kid..
