I Would Think Everyone Would Be Against Cruise Lines Being Bailed Out...Why Would It Matter?
Take the only partisan aspect of this away, that for some reason Trump wants the cruise industry bailed out, and we are left with only the realities, the facts. The cruise industry has no appreciable contribution to the economy. They have every ship registered in tax haven countries to evade taxes on profits, environmental regulations, and employment laws.
We have no vested interest in their survival, they contribute nothing but jobs...and the stimulus pays people who lost their jobs so the cruise industry has no reason to be bailed out.
Now it does make sense to use them for quarantine recovery and hospitals, 3500+ beds per ship would be worth paying them for on a lease and retrofit basis...put them back right when the industry is ready to support people wanting to take cruises again in another year or two.

As long as we offer loans I’m fine with helping them out. Thousands of jobs. I’m not for bailing out anyone.

Most fly foreign flags and pay no taxes in the US and hire mostly foreign workers so why should we bail them out!

The world would end if folks couldn't take cruises.

More likely, knuckle heads like you will need a safe haven offshore.
