1. Trump did attempt to cut the CDC’s funding, but Congress prevented it from happening.

2. While officials in charge of the U.S. response to pandemics did leave in 2018, it’s unclear if they were “fired.” (Its actually very clear they were not fired.)

3. The U.S. was not on a list of countries receiving COVID-19 tests from the WHO. But the U.S. doesn’t usually rely on the agency for diagnostic tests, and the testing delay was due mainly to an error with the CDC’s protocol. (Oooops!)

4. While Trump has called the Democratic response to the coronavirus a “hoax,” he has not used the term to describe the virus itself.


I personally don't like "news" outlets giving me their opinion on anything. I get a good deal of info from a source who says they just report the news, opinions are your own.

Yes it was an error by the CDC protocol but Trump delayed testing by 8 weeks because he refused to take test kits from the WHO and also South Korea who had reliable test kits.

What difference does it make if the pandemic team was fired or left on there own in 2018 why didn’t Trump just replace that team
And spent the next 2 years ignoring his own DNI appointee to put that team together. Trump did fire that team along with many others on the NSC it was a purge of all Obama appointees and that’s okay all presidents do that but he did not replace a team that was in place to track these viruses and potential hazards to the US.

The CDC is supposed to function as the CDC, not under Trump directions, duh. And even with their protocol problems, the response was pretty good.

Also, we know who the virus kills. Why aren't the experts telling us that?????? Why aren't they directing efforts to protect elderly people with pre-existing conditions rather than inciting all this false fear in everybody else??? . They weren't afraid of diseases that kill literally thousands every year but now this one comes along that has very, very low chance of killing them, people under 65, and they are now running like scared rabbits at the behest of the idiot media and the "experts" who still can't figure this thing out.
