Like any good leader the President attempted to maintain calmness in bad times. The Media awaken the shock and awe to create headlines in their favor. People panicked over what? Its a virus and many don't have the sense to stay home when they were sick. Common sense does not prevail in many no matter what their political affiliation is.

So look in the mirror when you want to blame someone or point fingers and expect someone else to fix your lack of common sense.

Kevyn, the very last thing we need is you. Want to be supportive of old folks fine. A President who just decided to send you $2,000.And this is how you react. Man, I've heard of bite the hand that feeds you guys, I'm even related to one. I'm out of this particular discussion.

Oh, you know that home hand sanitizer? You can do it and cheaply. Alcohol use maddog2020 75%, aloe vera the rest and use a funnel.

It's hard to want to stay home when your president and the media of your choice messages that this is no worse than the flu, a democrat hoax, go on about your business as normal, even a president saying go to work, work it off. Trump didn't change his tune until a few days ago, and it was because governors and businesses were ignoring him and taking it seriously. Now he is a hero when he ended the pandemic response team that would have been coordinating responses months ago?

People haven't panicked, there is no over reaction, actions will save lives. The weeks of inaction have killed hundreds, which we will see within weeks.

I don't think so skippy.

Yes people have panicked and they’ve become sheep ready to do whatever the government tells them to do and they won’t question it.

Do you realize we are only in the begining of the pandemic? We have one third of a billion people and not one if them has any immunity to the Corona virus. Today we may hit 10, 000 cases, which are doubling every 4 days.in a couple of weeks we are going to be so house bound!

Kevvvyyy, in times of trouble and attacks of our people and country its Time to come together and put the gosh dang hate aside.

How about allowing a little bit of humanity to rule right now instead of being so vindictive and hateful blocking your ability of human compassion. Forget the blame game, and put your energy to use in something positive for a change. It’s a time to shine for a change and actually make a difference in how you handle something as severe as this not just for yourself but for others.

Somewhere inside you is a person that actually cares, why don’t you let that person shine and stand in the place of your hate, hate kills...I promise it’s a lot better for you in the end...

I'm pretty sure Kevyn DOES care and that's WHY he posted what he did. Anyone who CARES will consider the fact that Trump has made a bad situation worse. There is nothing political about that. If he was a Democrat I would be saying the same thing and Kevyn probably would too.

The only people being "political" at this point are the people spinning their wheels trying to defend a president who is responsible for weakening our defense against the threat of a pandemic. If you were to put politics aside for a moment you might actually see where Kevyn is coming from.

I agree with the need to unite in these trying times and one way to do that is to vote Trump out this November (if the "wartime" POS hasn't figured out a way to stay in office).

What the American people need now is faith. And I don't mean throwing our hands up and hoping that God will take care of us; I mean faith in our ability as humans to mitigate the situation. This faith is being bolstered by the courageous and sacrificial actions we see in local governments and in the business sector. But the federal government under Trump has been a glaring exception, starting with the fact that in his 3 years in office so far, he has weakened our defense against the threat of a pandemic.

Every budget proposal he initiated made drastic cuts to the CDC, forcing the House to intercede. After his predatory 2017 tax cuts, there wasn't even enough money left in the Treasury for the House to reallocate.

Trump also dismantled the the National Security Council's global health security office. I bet you didn't know that. Just last year, Luciana Borio, director of medical and biodefense preparedness at the National Security Council, warned Trump that the threat of a pandemic should be considered a high priority and Trump ignored her and proceeded to cut all budget allocations that would have helped us prepare for the pandemic that Trump wasn't counting on. And if that wasn't enough to drill the message Trump shut down the global health security office. Trump's actions caused Borio and pretty much the entire staff of medical and biodefense experts to leave the White House.

So, yes - pointing out the flaws is an act of responsibility, even if that flaw is Trump.

NY Times: Bill Gates Stepping Down From Microsoft’s Board
Mr. Gates, who founded the company with Paul Allen four decades ago, will also step down from the board of Berkshire Hathaway.
REBUTTAL BY
The timing of Bill Gates' unexpected resignations from both the Boards of Microsoft (the company which he co-founded) as well as of Warren Buffoon's Berkshire Hathaway Empire did not come as a shock to the chroniclers of Q Anon -- who has often posted that the unusual number of CEO's and other high executives who have "resigned" these past few years would continue to increase as part of "the plan." But what many have missed is Gate's clear connection to the hyped-up outbreak of this not-so-deadly virus which the Deep State engineered for geo-political purposes -- but which will soon backfire upon them as already may be the case with Gates.
Gates -- who is also a Global Warmist promoter, has had this odd obsession with viruses and vaccines. In November of 2019, shortly before the first case of COVID-19 appeared in China, a Netflix crockumentary featured the "prophet" Gates warning of such pandemics. An excerpt from Netflix's "Pandemic" (not Gates speaking):

November 7, 2019
“This is a wet market in the Lianghua, China. Unlike markets in much of the West, where animals are already dead when they arrive, this wet market sells meat that’s very fresh. It’s killed on sight. That’s what makes it a disease factory. ... All the while, their viruses are mixing and mutating, increasing the odds that one finds its way to humans.” (here)

Just 10 days later (here) -- the very first case (though not known as the first at the time) popped up in China. The subsequent pandemic would later be attributed to a "wet market" (™ pending)_ --- How conveeenient -- as the Church Lady of old Saturday Night Live fame used to say!
Flashback to December 20, 2016 -- the interim period between the outgoing Obongo and incoming President-elect Trump -- and Globalist Atlantic Magazine brings us more "prophecy":
Headline: How a Pandemic Might Play Out Under Trump...

Why were we not prepared for a pandemic last year, some ten years after the H1N1 out break? Tell us why Obama's "pandemic response team" hadn't gotten the US prepared long ago.

As for funding, the CDC has received increased funding despite Trump wanting to cut it, but now, seeing what the CDC has been spending it's money on, I can see why.

And tell me, which immunological experts actually delayed the respond because Trump had the opinion that is would not be such a big thing. Trump is a lay person! They had and have a job to do. Did they delay because of Trump's opinion?? If so, they DO need to be fired.

The only politicization is occurring on the part of the Trump haters and democrats. Trump's opinion should not have slowed down a response to an infectious disease any more than y'all harping on your claim that it's Trump's fault will help our response. Y'all are playing pure politics just like you have been doing with every single issue that has come up since Trump was elected.

It is blame time: the crash in the markets is directly attributable to your Trump hating push for panic by hyping this up to ridiculous levels. That part is truly on y'all!! 100%.

He already has. Thank God for the local governments and business community for doing such an outstanding job considering the abysmal response of the federal government under Trump. He screwed this up before it even happened by cutting CDC funding and shutting down the global health security office. Are we not allowed to point that out Carol?

They call him that because people like YOU, who IGNORE the facts make THEM furious.

I’d like to see what they could do under the same circumstances.

All they would have to do is NOT degrade the system like Trump did and our response would have been much more effective, which for a pandemic is exponentially critical. I don't think any of the other presidents would have been so slow in responding when the outbreak first happened, either.
