Yep... Canada and Europe are little better...

This will be a wake up call... Hopefully...

As much as I enjoy living in China, I would not want to love in a China dominated world....

It's all great to defy projections, whatever that means, but we can look at numbers now and how they are increasing and know it's getting worse before it gets better.

The numbers by election time depends on how effectively social interaction and quarantining goes. Right now we are headed for the Italian model, they haven't got enough hospital facilities so they are choosing who gets treated and who gets left at home to die, the preference being for younger people with kids.

Trump set us back several weeks from where we should be, that will equate to thousands or tens of thousands of deaths.

A nurse wrote she had it said she felt fine didn't realize she was sick till she having runny nose then she felt nausea then severe aches and pains temp and she was down and truly sick said she was sick for 10-12 days before it started to ease up. Personally this sound just like old fashion flu from when I was young and it did make you think you were dying

Kind if morbid.... But I'm game...

It will hit a thousand before mid April... Then peak... If quarantining is followed...

If not...Might make it as high as 10,000 before the election...

That's fair. How are things there?

Chuckle.... When the most populous Nation on earth went into complete quarantine during its largest and most important festival y'all didn't figure out there was something going on?

I find that absurd...

On the one hand you're arguing that it's just the flu an it's going to spread... On the other hand you feel that China should have recognized that this is a superflu and done more to warn y'all...

Chuckle.... When the most populous Nation on eart... (show quote)

Earlier warning would have been nice but I agree for the most part.

As would the entire population of China

Lots of backlash over that...

The central government has been trying to place the blame on the municipal authorities... But people want promises that it won't happen again....

Worldwide increase of 20,000 cases overnight...

Only 85 in China... Mostly Beijing, Guangzhou, Hongkong, and Taiwan....

Almost 500 fatalities in Italy alone....

Canadian/American border is shutting down all non essential travel...

Lots of national are closing their borders...

There are now more infected in Europe than in China....

You are math challenged aren't you? Look at the deaths and how there are an increasing amount. They will increase to where there are more deaths every few days, not total, the number of deaths every day. By November we will be wishing it was only 200 a day, statistics and numbers do not lie. Take the number of new cases toay, and that is going to reflect the number of deaths three weeks from now as the severe cases lose their fight.

You will figure out what we don't want to accept, that as the cases goes up as we get testing, deaths will follow three weeks down the road, look at Italy's numbers and multiply them by ten.

1,400 new cases in the US is the number we got for today... Is that accurate?

You might be interested in knowing that 85% of all Americans have CMV, commonly known as cytomegalovirus. Most have no symptoms and that is not the only virus that resides in us without our knowledge. If you could see all the pathogenic bacteria and viruses in our environment you probably wouldn't leave your house. You can't pin that on Trump though. Now, why do some get sick and others not? Look to the immune system as the reason. Strengthen it and you have the key to thwarting most diseases!!! Most people are duped by the "germ" theory of disease and don't even know that those germs are always present around us.

Trump, Trump, Trump. Trump did not cause the slow roll out of testing. It was slowed by un-needed regulations left over from the Obama administration. Regulations everywhere. If anything, Trump aided in things getting rolling as well as they should have. Again, the Obama "pandemic response team" failed to be prepared to respond, this despite increased funding of the CDC et al.

Just admit it wood, the Obama "pandemic response team" left us unprepared to "respond." That much is clear as day!!! They had ten years to think through the needs for preparedness. They could have stocked up on ventilators. They could have had multiple facilities ready to manufacture test kits. Y'all's panic, itself, has slowed things down.

With Trump trying to restrict incoming from China a full month before any democrat even mentioned it, what did Trump do to slow things down? Would it have gone faster had the president himself panicked and screamed the sky is falling? LOL! Y'all would have proclaimed him a reactionary and played it down yourselves.

I will be something with you woody. I'll bet the death toll in the US due to coronavirus this year will be less than the US death toll of H1N1 was in it's first year. In fact, I'll bet its nearly half; that's about 6000 or so.
Trump, Trump, Trump. Trump did not cause the slow... (show quote)

This disease progression in the US is all on resident Ovomit's inept policies while in office. He left us unprepared and that is exactly what he wanted for the American people. Sickness, death and economic ruin, all more signs of how ovommit hated the US.

Here is a good source of ongoing information on cases and deaths. You can look at world totals and also by country. The graphs on China are revealing. It looks like it takes about a month for the virus to run it's course, based upon this. At the very least new cases and deaths plateau's after about 4 weeks or less.

My take is that this is a quickly mutating virus which becomes less virulent with time. They claim it is not temperature sensitive but I think the jury is out on that.
