Economic demand will be largely deferred, not eliminated. There may be a brief downturn in the economy, but look for a burst of spending once this crisis is over. https://thefederalist.com/2020/03/18/why-the-wuhan-flu-economic-crash-is-likely-to-be-short-lived/

That's not what trump says or did you come to your senses and stop listening to him?

Wishful thinking doesn't put beans on the table.

I believe it all will be short lived but the media will fight to make it an ongoing crisis.

If the virus is over by July. People will be so relieved and the Economy will roar back. Trump will win a landslide If people are dying and the economy is sunk still next November it won’t matter who’s President.

I've been harshly criticized for saying this here, but I stand by my words (and have read a history of how virus' played out in the past):

Follow the money. When all the money (I think it's around $8 billion) runs out, and everyone who has any claim to it has received as much of it as they can from that $8billion, this virus will disappear very quickly, the economy will, as you say "burst forward with much spending" and the stock market will soar. It has happened repeatedly every time one of these "crises" happens.

Someone actually told me I should go hug and kiss all the Iranians who are licking those statues in the museums and getting sick because that proves that it is the corona virus!!!

Anyway, just look at past history, and you will see that this political hoax is following in the footsteps of every other virus hoax. More people will die of the regular flu and colds than this made up, political farce.

Look at the graphs of other countries. The cases and deaths level off after about two weeks. It mutates quickly and loses its virulence. The projections of its severity, deaths/etc, are greatly exaggerated. Trump is going to be proven right, I think.

The issue in Italy is their huge older population. Of their last 500 deaths, the average age is 80.
