We are applying "prevention" to the spread of CoVid. Probably a good idea, maybe. Why not apply it to other conditions like, say, abortion?

Lets see: no unprotected sex, no unwanted pregnancies, for the most part and thus, not too many abortions needed.

I like it!!

I am surprised that you did not suggest having only same sex partners, as that would serve the same purpose. Personally I prefer the old fashioned concept, get married, have sex only with your spouse, use condoms until you want to have children or use birth control pills or devices until you want and can afford children. Not too complicated is it??

What about all the people who don't do all those things but are just dirt poor by far by not making it free for those that need it we save pennies, compared to billions taking care of all those babies

Prevention regarding sex isn't working because it isn't promoted by the leftist media.

Agreed, the board of directors and executives of every company receiving a government contract, tax break or write off should be tested for drugs weekly and if they fail be forced to pay back every nickel.

this program cost millions
Checking in again in March, the Arizona Sonora News Service cited state Department of Economic Security figures which found that over the course of more than five years, "42 people have been asked to take a follow-up drug test and 19 actually took the test, 16 of whom passed. The other 23 were stripped of their benefits for failing to take the drug test."

That adds up to a grand total of three failed tests from 2009-2014. The net savings reaped from withholding benefits for those who either tested positive or failed to complete a drug test was around $3,500, once the $500 cost of testing the 19 is factored in, according to one state agency report. The haul is especially unimpressive when you consider the $1.7 million in savings state officials promised when they unveiled the program.

I doubt is only 42 people are getting free stuff from benefit programs in Arizona over a five year period.
