I don't know where you got that crap but they released them because they knew that Reagan would not put up with that nonsense. Under Reagan the Country came out of the recession, high gas prices and started to gain respect again.

Among other things, I was disappointed by Carter's handling of the economy, his response to the "gas crisis" and, really bad, his 444 day hostage crisis at our embassy in Tehran.

Reagan sorted out the economy and got the hostages back. I haven't voted Democrat since.

I'm a Salafist not a Shi'ite, so I've got complete absolution to begin with about my opinion of the Hostage Crisis plus I'm not judgmental, decision is not my cup of tea, except there are certain decisions that are not judgments, one such decision is about the last Shah of Iran, when he was leaving for the last time a parade was taking place at the airport when a remarkable thing happened.

One of his top Generals broke from the parade threw himself down on the tarmac in front of the Shah and his wife and started kissing the Shah's shoes begging him not to go, obviously as soon as he left the army would desert and the Generals be killed, the Shah said don't worry I'm coming back soon.

There has to be consequences for supporting King imbeciles and Trump is repeating the same mistake President Carter made, King Salman claims to be a Salafist but I can tell you he's not, I am, and the King Salman is an imbecile.

The gas crisis that President Carter warned against never happened or so it seems, really it did just 40 years later on, it's called Climate Change, and same thing can be said about "The Principle of Population" written in1798 by Thomas Robert Malthus, population is ratio driven and resources are God given.

When President Carter was making his pronouncements 1979 the World's population was though to peak at just under 30 billion, most thinkers now think 9•3 billion before climate war and ecological degradation reduce the World's population to under 8 billion which is the ecological sustainable level
according to George Soros who is working on it right now, so in actual fact Thomas Robert Malthus got it right with a181 year premature prediction.

Another good comparison when Nixon went to China twice in 1973 which brought China into the World Trade Organisation in 2001 it was thought that China would double down in their border dispute with the Soviet Union but China did the opposite and gave almost everything to the Soviets, why they did that is obvious, and is the same reason why Iran gave up on the Hostages when Reagan was elected. In both situations there were new opportunities to be exploited putting the old struggles in the way of progress, which is why the Dems are saying if Biden or Sanders is elected China will break with Russia and Iran, which is true but the reason Obama pivoted to the Pacific was to reign- in China, so the argument is maybe not a very good one..

I think "RT" must stand for "Russia Today," a news/propaganda program.

R T stands for Rodney Terence.

Where did you get this tidbit from? Got any proof to support this?

Under Carter, we had long lines at the gas pump, odd license plate numbers one day, even the next.

Reagan shored up our economy, won the Cold War and was every inch a patriot.

I live in a small town.
Went to the grocery store.
Not one available cart.
No toilet paper.
No bleach.
Half the canned food had been wiped out.
The same at the other stores.
The virus must have people freaking out.

Same here in Michigan in a town of 40,000 and from what I hear, all over. We used to see all of the milk and bread wiped out in Indiana when they forecast a snowstorm.

I've never seen it like this before.
The people shopping were in their 30s and I've heard it effects elderly people. Smoking and underlying health problems are the people getting it.
I fall into the category, but refuse to freakout.
Thank God my son came and gave me12 rolls
of toilet paper. I couldn't find any.

Yeah, I just went to a CVS in Santa Monica for some things, and they were completely out of paper products.

They're closing schools and libraries also.

Orson Welles couldn't have asked for more...

My niece close to Ft. Worth and my sister in Phoenix said it's the same thing there.

Same in San Diego. My friend went to Costco yesterday and they were out of TP by 11:00 a.m. And they were rationing TP. It is obvious that people are trying to hoard more than enough to last two weeks. This is not the end of the world. Wait until the gas companies figure out, again, how to create a shortage of gasoline, even though demand is down.

The gas thing is probably coming.
I think people are panicky from listening to the news.
I got an email that that said to take vitamin C multiple times a day.
Keep surfaces clean.
It lives on stainless steel for 24 hours and cardboard for about 4.

Our grocery stores have started limiting paper products to two packages per customer. Along with breads, and cleaning supplies..The lines ridiculous...

Your post is one of the better written I have seen in this forum. When you cut through the BS, it's all about getting elected. This coming election BS is going to have be the strong suite for democrats, they don't have anything else.
