Teachers and health care workers in many states are required to get a TB test every year. Not because they are feeling fine or even out of concern for their health but because if they had it the potential exposure to school children to TB is not worth the risk. TB is similar Coronavirus in some ways, first of all like corona it is spread by cough or sneeze or even talking from a nearby person with the condition. TB can not be spread by contaminated surface like corona because it is bacterial and must enter the lungs to cause infection. Unlike corona TB can be cured with antibiotics. At this point their is no known cure or effective vaccine for corona only isolation. Both diseases have similar mortality rates.
