Under Obama, and the democrats, China will control the Pacific, and Russia will control the Atlantic...it's coming, folks.

The U.S. spends more on the military than the next 10 nations combined. We spend over $500 billion on the bloated military industrial complex It's never enough for you paranoid lock and load goobers. Scaring the American populace? It's the GOPs standard M.O. for getting their neighbors to hand over their children and wallets to the Dick Cheneys and Halliburton war pimps of this world.

Not to Dick Cheney, Raytheon, General Dynamics, Lockheed and the other "defense" contractors. Without the rubes forking over their cash to the war pimps, how will the folks who run these companies, afford gold bidets, private jets, third and fourth homes, and servants???

I think you are showing callous indifference to the needs of these men.

In only one war have nukes been used. The rest they have not and for a very good reason. If we blow up the world, then what is left? We fight wars with conventional weapons and not nukes and that takes man power. If we take the man power out of the military, then we are dependant on nukes to stop wars and that simply will not work. I'm not saying that we need to keep making wars like we are now, but we do need a decent military to stop it. Obama has started more wars then most people even know about. Not wars like WWII, but small ones all over Africa and the Middle East. Now he is trying to start one in Europe and if things keep going the way they are now, he will do just that. Do you really want a war with Russia? Obama and the IMF seem to.

For once I agree with you. War is not something that the military ever wants, but we get forced into it by governments. It would be great to outlaw war, but like all laws, they get broken. I would love to see the day when no wars are being fought by anyone, anywhere, but until then we do need a military. If you ask anyone in the military if they want to fight a war, all of the people that have seen war will say no, never again, but we still do it, thanks to our government. If we made them follow the Constitution like they are supposed to, we would not be having anywhere near the problem we are having now. That doesn't mean all wars would stop, just limit them to very few with our involvement.

We need to raise our children to be more cynical. It is wrong to raise them them to be gullible canon fodder for the sake of the greedy military contractor war pimps. My parents raised me to "just say no" to these corporate war criminals. Our youth doesn't need to give their blood so that Dick Cheney can eat caviar and travel in a private jet.

You two obviously don't have a clue about our current military capabilities. After fighting two wars, and declining budgets, our military equipment is old, and worn out. Budget restraints are reducing our spare parts inventory, creating more and longer equipment down time. Obozo had decreased our nuclear capability down to 1500 warheads and has told the military to prepare for reducing it further to only 300. Eventually, Obozo wants zero nuclear weapons. Sure, we have superior technology, but we're using more and more foreign made circuit cards and electronics in our military equipment, and budget restraints are reducing our technology and readiness. The Navy is down to 135 ships, from a fleet of 600 when I served. The Air Force has decommissioned the F-15, and the new rapter F-22 and the new F-35 budget overruns are going through the roof. Our Army and Marine Corps are lowering their standards, thanks to the inclusion of women in combat, and eliminating the "don't ask, don't tell" policies. And, they're reducing their numbers. I still know a lot of fellow retired military people, as well as some on active duty, and I'm here to tell you it is not as rosy as you two are trying to portray it. We will no longer be able to fight a large protracted war, we don't have the capability any more. We'll only be able to fight smaller skirmishes and police actions, and probably not very well.

How, and where, do all the, former penniless, Democratic millionaires in Congress derive their millions?
