Already are because not being able to afford college does not hit until after you finish. Anyone want to go to college and don't have the money, the government will guarantee you loans for any amount.

This hasn't been done for decades. It was first implemented by FDR to control supply and increase profits. It was supposed to keep the market from being glutted. This was eventually replaced by subsidies for growing specific crops. This subsidizing was initially for small family farms. But big agrifarms, along with bought or foolish politicians, allowed the big agribusiness to be subsidized. Trump has cut back severely on farm subsidies. He made an exception after the China tariffs were hurting soybean growers. But once China began buying American soybeans again at even higher numbers, Trump stopped the subsidy.
So to get back to your comment, the government does not pay farmers to not grow crops.

As to student loans. The key word is LOAN! I don't give a dam what you
borrowed the money for, it is a LOAN; you pay it back.
Is it fair that people have to pay their mortgages? Those are LOANS.....the bank
want's their money back.
What do we say to those who PAID BACK their student loans? Only fair thing would
be to REFUND all they paid.
I was on my own at age 15, worked three part time jobs to get through HIGH SCHOOL.
THis snowflake needs to get a job.
