I said Joe Biden was dead politically. I am now standing on a table, figuratively, saying I was wrong. One of my former work places we would stand on a table and say we were wrong when we were wrong.

I can't figure out how Joe did it. It was not his brilliance on the stage. It was not money. Until lately Joe's campaign was running on fumes, money wise. It wasn't hard work. Joe won in places, I think he did not visit much. So how did Joe knock Mike, Pete, Amy, and soon Lizzy out of the race and pull even about with Crazy Bernie ? It makes no sense, unless the invisible hand of fate was working behind the scenes. Maybe fate's other name was Barak Obama. Maybe it was the elders in the DNC, or maybe it was Putin.

Well whoever it was we now have out match up. Bernie verses Joe. Crazy verses senile.

What happened behind the scenes is that people voted. Nothing mysterious about it....perhaps the mystery is why folks thought the race was over when it had barely begun.

Other than the college-age people saddled with huge student debt and wanting college to be free, most people could see that the Democrats have been hijacked by the leftist and they won't stand for it. The problem is still that they have no issues except to stop Trump. Twice as many Democrats think Sanders is better versed on issues they care about than is Biden. The others dropping out of the race know that Sanders' socialist agenda is a losing proposition. The fix was in. Pretty soon, probably after Michigan next week, Warren will drop out. The DNC will do anything to keep sanders away from the nomination. Biden has to be careful to not alienate the Bernie supporters.

The stock market gained today because people now feel reasonably assured there will not be a single-payer healthcare system. However, those are Republicans that made the stock market go up. Covid-19 will not be a disaster and the economy probably will come back giving Trump a huge advantage. Trump is younger than Sanders and Biden. No incumbent has ever lost a second term race when unemployment is below 4%. But the Republicans had better not get too cock-sure. November is still a long way off and anything can happen. Trump has to be careful and not do a Bernie, such as Bernie's comment about Cuba's literacy. You know he can't contain himself at times on Twitter.

Bernie and Biden need to not attack each other or Bernie supporters will leave the Democratic party and vote independent. Nevertheless, this will not be a cakewalk for Trump. It will depend on who can get out the vote more than the other side. Demographics favor Democrats but they can be fickle and unpredictable. The Democratic nominee has to find a way to really grab the imagination of the voters to get them energized enough to turn out in large numbers.

And don't forget that Hillary still has a deposition to give to JW and Biden is not out of the woods with Ukraine. The next eight months will be a real entertaining campaign race. Nothing is carved in stone and it's way too early to be counting your votes. Anything could happen! And usually does.

That is fine as far as Bernie, but the demise of Pete, Amy, and Mike, all of whom looked way more muscular than feeble olde demented Joe is what puzzles me. Me thinks somebody pulled a bunch of strings to help Joe out.
