I grew up in the same time frame as you.. I absorbed the "rather be dead then red" slogans just as much as every kid..My reflex is that socialism leads to communism and that is evil.. and also I see, truly, the Russians as the home of this evil.
But to the point.. I contend that most Americans see this in the same knee jerk fashion that I do.. so a person running as a self described socialist, even when he defines it to clearly separate himself from the impacted image I grew up with will get fewer votes from the few who are undecided and that will be a major weakness .. I do not think Bernie could win without a great struggle. and the Orange Russians seem to agree with my logic..

I can agree with you that Russia also truly wants to foster even more division in our country. they would love that..

but trump has been very good to them, If reelected, he would have no restraints as a one term and things like his giving up on the removal of the two location would not be altered.. His bill has not been paid in full to Putin and I bet never will so without any limit to what trump will be promoting, we will see many more gift to Russia like their position in the ME. the removal of any remaining sanctions. economic perks ..

I assumed you were referring to what has been claimed as an unlawful order give by Trump/claimed by Vindman.

As for the rest, you've been out too long to have a feel for what is going on. I am not "out." I will tell you that Trump hears the recommendations of the "generals" but in no way will automatically follow their recommendations. Thsi is not taken well by many on many levels but, Trump takes his commander in chief role seriously. And he is not adverse to emphasizing his authority over them.

If Trump says he decided to refrain from a planned attack, he did it because he decided to refrain. Simple as that. Which attack are you referring to. I don't recall any planned attack on Iran. The Iranian "general" was killed in Baghdad. It was an attack on a terrorist, not Iran. What are you implying? I'm sure it's BS but go ahead and lets hear it.
