This is what is now being proposed by all of the climate change hoaxers like AOC, Sanders Gore and the rest. How about just outing a mask on cows?

Cow owners pay attention, potential profits from bottling methane.
You have milking machines.
Now you need a methane machine.

Well Gore and Sanders want more than masks to catch those deadly, methane emitting cow burps. They also want your money so you can buy carbon offsets from them to atone for your sin of emitting CO2. You know, that deadly poison gas you exhale after inhaling O2. And which all plants need to inhale so they can exhale CO2.
Sounds like a pretty good racket, if you can pull it off!

For arguments sake let’s say we were to cut beef and pork consumption and production in the US in half, what would it achieve? For one thing half of the land used for grazing and stockyards could be used to grow either crops, forest or native grasslands. The amount of crops used to feed the cattle would be cut in half and that land could be used to grow fruit, vegetables and grain that directly fed Americans, a far more efficient and healthy diet. The health problems associated with excess consumption of red meat would be significantly reduced along with the associated cost. And because it is a reduction rather than elimination people like me who enjoy a good steak, burger or smothered pork chop would still do so just at fewer occasions. There really is not a downside at all unless you peddle fast food and would need to adjust your marketing program and change what you offer on the menu. Or if like two tapped you dream of a career capturing bovine farts and selling them.

Your plan sounds a lot like the Soviets "plans". Did you 'borrow' those ideas?

Actually the Soviets tried consistently to increase beef and pork production.

How about a methane machine to power the milking machine?

That doesn’t work anymore, Kev. The world already grows more than enough food to feed its population............farmers are paid to idle some fields. A solution to alleviate hunger needs to be politically derived, not one that impoverishes populations that are food secure.

Sir,
Animal are raised for meat in marginal agricultural area of the US. Plants do not do well in desert areas because of the need for water. You are wanting more aqueducts to bring scarce desert rivers to desert areas to grow plants? I grew Macadamia trees but they do not do well except along the coast of California on the continental US. Avocados only grow in hot houses during the winter in the rocky mountain states. The marginal lands of the US are OK for growing animals but farmers are smart enough to know that some crops just don't thrive in some areas.

Fallen Oak, I see that you joined OPP about 5 months ago. Welcome.
Kevyn, a die-hard Never Trumper with a severe case of TDS is one of the resident OPP libs who is forever advancing government solutions to non existent problems. But when someone responds with obvious problems to their proposed solutions, they simply propose other solutions. Like building aqueducts to bring water to arid areas. Just a minor detail. Libs have no faith in the freedom of individuals or their ingenuity to solve real problems. Sad.

As everyone may know I have fishtanks galore in my office thus fish I breed them, have a contract. Anyway, the other day I was looking at the fries (babies) and looking at the bubbles. At first, I thought adjust the filter? No, fish farts. So imagine the ones at sea, whales even. Yes, perhaps that is our solution to the Climate Crisis hoax.
