That is hardly bigoted...

Would you expect a Jewish baker to personally design a cake celebrating the Holocaust?

Or perhaps a Muslim to bake a cake celebrating the rebirth of Krishna?

Should a black man be forced to bake a cake for the KKK?

If you answer yes then I'll admire your commitment to your beliefs... Although I'll still disagree with you...

No one should be forced by gubment to do business with anyone, that actually violates a small paragraph in the commerce clause of the constitution.

Your arguments are stupid!
The point I was making is that had that bakery had a sign up by the entry door that said they didn’t do design work for homosexuals, those folks wouldn’t have entered the bakery, and then been publicly demeaned and insulted at the counter, at the last moment of their order.

I am flabbergasted at the limits of your critical thinking skills. I was fortunate in my life to have been raised by a mother that always pushed me to step outside of myself and consider things from the point of view of those I was want to bash.

My arguments are stupid?

Remind me how that case went when it got to the SCOTUS?

I have trouble understanding your last statement.... Perhaps more focus on your linguistic and gramnatical abilities as a child would have benefited you more?

Note that this is the first time I've vine close to insulting you...

Try for more civility... It helps to promote dialogue..

Civility? I have a hard time being what you might consider civil when someone makes comments that aren’t well thought out.
No one knows exactly the words that were exchanged between the baker and lgbtq couple. Although I feel pretty comfortable that that hater just said something close to, “I don’t believe in gay marriage, it’s against God, so I will not make a wedding cake for you”!

Had that couple wanted just any cake they could have bought them at a grocery store.

As I have written before, I believe anyone can be denied service for any reason, it’s called free market capitalism! What I don’t agree with is people that do their best to hide their hate! Be whatever kind of bigot one wants, just proclaim it proudly, don’t try to hide it.

If you’re going to use the n word in your home, then use it in public, and quit being afraid of the public ridicule one will endure.

I am an American Conservative, started tagging myself as such 30ish years ago.
As George Will said last summer, “the word American does some heavy lifting as far as conservatism goes”.

I believe in unbridled freedoms that do no direct physical or financial harm to others!

As for my lacking with the written word, I write like I talk, kinda. Although I’m not as articulate with the spoken word as I was pre 5/20/14 stroke, I’m much better with the spoken word.

By all means do tell me where my comment left you wanting and I’ll do my best to clear it up. I’m hard to offend as long as one is being open and honest.

I fully admit and except that I too have my fair share of stupid, and I’m never embarrassed to say that I am the stupid of ignorance when I am. A couple Stupids I am not, is the stupid of narrow mindedness, or bigotry.
Every one of your comments were the stupid of silly, they had nothing to do with my retort to your original comment, or the comment itself.

I know fully well how big a dick I can be. I am very self aware, and accept my short comings, if I don’t I can’t work on them.

As a business man I will serve anyone as long as they can maintain a certain amount of general respect for life. I’ll be even serve a bigot, what I won’t do is allow a bigot into my personal circle.
Yes I have a very small personal circle.

👏🏻👏🏻 He must not or chooses to ignore those facts... perhaps Doesn’t even acknowledge Johnsons overheard comment of the “n” word.. I won’t use his words as I find it offensive enough..But we all know what he said~~

Here’s a couple of things to consider..
Someone not agreeing with you does not make them “stupid.”
You hold being a “critical thinker” out as if it’s some winning prize of your character, not true... Narrow minded, yes..
You are no different than anyone else in this forum expressing their opinion and that’s all it is opinion!!

You justify your rudeness and indignation because you’re a critical thinker, once again I’ll repeat, I think not... There is no need to be rude or call people names just because you disagree with them.. It’s childish and embellishing for yourself that’s all it is and therefore exposing your own insecurities or inability to conduct an adult conversation..Grow up...

Thank You for your opinions no matter how bigoted you are of how high you hold yourself out above others.., You fail miserably but I do wish you a good day snd hope you can learn there is more to life than “being a dick”.. Smile you may just get s smile in return~~🤗 So much happier that way..

Read about your stroke, I do hope that has resolved for you and wish you good health above all things...

Do you not know that the ERA is not an amendment to the constitution, mostly a cause these days those states that haven’t ratified the ERA are Republican dominated?

Yes it was Eisenhower that called out the national guard to force school integration.
Now, if you will go back and check you will find that the state legislatures in those states fighting integration of public schools were, and had been since the days of Andrew Jackson, dominated by democrats!

But please do padremike keep showing those that aren’t on par with your stupid of ignorance how ignorant of facts you are.

For future reference, I really hate being wrong, consequently I don’t remark on things I don’t know about!

I know, I know, Johnson's legislation was not an Amendment it was an Act. A mere slip of the mind. However, it is very much the Equal Rights Amendment that has not been ratified by State Legislatures, the one's you conveniently assume are being stymied by Republicans because, according to Joe, "They're trying to put y'all back on the plantation." Stupid, ignorant and other folks with simple malleable minds believe that sort of rot.

"So please do. Gardenman, keep showing those that aren’t on par with your stupid of ignorance how ignorant of facts you are." (Please clarify what you mean by "stupid of ignorance.)

I also started to reference Johnson's comment after signing the Equal Rights Act but rose above it as unnecessary to the conversation.

According to the statements made by the baker, he regularly served gay individuals, and would have happily sold them a pre designed cake from the catalog... He only refused to personally design cake for their wedding, although I believe that he stated he would have designed one for other events like birthdays...

I have certainly never hidden my bigotry.. I freely admit it exists... Although it doesn't find its outlet in the normal circles... I care little about race or religion or sex... I dislike the idea of homosexuality, but have no problems with individuals who practice... However, I mean firmly against the LGBTQ agenda, which has become a monster...

Are you afraid to write the word nigger?
It isn't derogatory to write it in the sentence above... I use the word when it's appropriate...

I will respond as I will... Feel free to display your dickishness to all and sundry...

I too have a rarather small personal circle... But I think you'll find that the OPP can go along way to broadening one's experiences...

That's great to hear

And my city is officially virus free

Although we are still subject to the provincial restrictions

Things seem to be dying down up here...

And I just finished the rough draft of my thesis (I hope)...
