It pains me to say it, but Kevyn is right; those making minimum wage would not be subject to the maximum tax rate so would pay about $2.25 in federal tax, not $7.80. DASHY, you apparently missed that .52% was a typo as 52% = .52 as a fraction; they were both inadvertently combined as .52%. Either 15 x .52 = $7.80 or 15 x 52% = $7.80 would be correct.
