He didn't shake the VP's hand either and HE didn't pitch a fit. I think he was just SOOO focused he just wanted to give his speech. She didn't introduce him with respect, either.

She had just slighted him and his title by not introducing him the way she was supposed to. At the very beginning of his speech and at the very end - she shamed only herself.
