Should Republican Senators Want Witnesses?

Of course, not!!!! The House had a chance to set it up anyway they wanted call... witnesses, prevent the Republicans from calling witnesses (which they did), and prevent the Trump team from cross examining (which was nothing close to fair, but they did anyway) so they totally had "IT" their way. When it goes to the Senate for "trial", it's their turn to "run the show" as it may. Too late for witnesses or anything else the majority from the House wanted. It's as simple as that. No witnesses or cross examination by Republicans in the House, why should they give in? https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/01/should_republican_senators_want_witnesses.html

I think that this has been overcome by events...vote was taken and no additional witness (recall Democrats had 13 or so already) and no additional documents. I guess from talk in DC, the House is already planning their next impeachment of our President. So, this may come up again....soon.

Bring it on!!! Pelosi doesn't realize what pure scum they look like when they do this. They are trying to destroy this sovereign nation and most of the American citizenry are aware of this. the more they pull this crap the bigger the "Landslide", period.

I agree with you about Pelosi, but I wish they would have gotten all the corruption out on the table. And if Republicans had to endure some of the Democrats witnesses, so be it.

To play the same partisan game in turn that the Democrats did, only sinks them to their level on that score. Just my opinion. But I want to hear what really got Joe Biden to brag about Quid-Pro-Quo.

Unfortunately, we had to play a little of the "ends justify the means" game. Sure, we could have taken the high road, But you know what they say, "Nice guys always finish last". Yogi Berra, if I'm not mistaken. You play fair with these corrupt schmucks, crooked to the hilt, who could care less about being fair. You think the pathological liar Schiff cares about anything remotely connected to ethics or high moral ground. If you do, give me a break. BtW, Pelosi says she won't accept an "acquittal" outcome. She is part of the deep state scum that exists in DC. Pathetic!

Adam Schiff, in my opinion, has no sense of truth whatsoever. I believe he thinks his ability to deceive is a talent, rather than a liability.

I’m really just ranting because we don’t, yet, get to see the swamp on trial.

I guess that’s another reason I’d never be able to be a politician: I could never play the ends justify the means game.

Yep, politics is a dirty business. But at the same time, people like Mike Pence, a good man with what I believe has a strong moral compass, are able to endure. Sometimes, amazing to comprehend.

Acquit the President, then have a Senate investigation and have testimony from everyone on both sides with FBI agents asking all of the questions. That way it's 5 years in jail if they lie.
