Once again, you are crediting Trump for a trend that Obama already put in place. The stock market was already smashing records before Trump even got there.


Trump didn't create those jobs. Companies did and there is no easy way of telling if the jobs those companies created were a result of anything Trump has done. The economy was already thriving.

1. Under Republican leadership the economy crashed in 2007 and I was out of work. Then Obama and the Democrats took over and by 2012 the economy was turning around and I was able to find contracts again. This did have a direct impact on my daily life. As a self-made man I don't really depend on the government for much else when it comes to my daily life but I recognize what the Democrats are doing for other people less fortunate or self-reliant than myself AND for future generations including my children AND for the reputation of my country. So…

2. The Democrats passed the ACA, which has provided millions of Americans with access to healthcare that didn't have it before, including my kids.

3. Obama's fiduciary rules helped protect millions of Americans from getting ripped off by crooked retirement fund managers. The rule was actually very simple. Fund managers have to promise to put the interests of their clients first. I have yet to see anyone on the right provide a single reason for Trump's reversal of this rule. By doing that Trump is basically saying fund managers can rip your grandma off if they want to.

4. Under Democratic leadership, the USA became a trusted and highly respected negotiator as Obama orchestrated an agreement with Iran, the EU, Russia AND China to put Iran's nuclear program under scrutiny. Trump called it a "bad deal" but never replaced it with anything better… nor any at all. Nor has Trump EVER managed to negotiate a deal with that many world powers. I don't think he has the capacity. But what Trump DID do is, a) rip up the contract (which undermined the trust other nations have in American integrity) slap harsh sanctions on Iran (which is creating havoc in that country, increasing the potential for blowback, not to mention a continuation of the nuclear program without any scrutiny whatsoever. This is just one example, but over-all the threat of nuclear war was way down when the Democrats were controlling policy. According to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists the threat of nuclear war has escalated to unprecedented levels since Trump took office.

5. Under Democratic leadership, we led the world in curbing the emissions responsible for global warming. We set examples and other nations aspired to be like us. So thanks to Democrats we have cleaner air and cleaner water than we would have had if left up to Republicans.


Since when have abortions ever been free? What else is Clint-the-pretend-tough-guy embarrassingly ignorant about? The fact that the Democrats are constantly trying to help the poor against the will of the Republicans?


The sake of my children's future is the biggest reason for my opposition to Trump.


Since most of the under-the-table jobs that illegal immigrants come here for are offered by Republicans I would blame Republicans for the immigration before I blame Democrats and since most abortions happen for economic reasons and the Republicans are more responsible for economic hardships than the Democrats are I would blame the demand for abortions on Republicans too. $15/hr jobs are better than slave-wages the Republicans are pushing for and I really don't see how non-gender specific people make any difference either way.

I actually know someone who hates women. He's one of those Trump fans down at the pub where I play music, but I usually avoid him because he likes to rant about how Democrats, immigrants and women are going to destroy America. I've also known some white people who have told me how much they hate black people. Finally, it's common for people on the left to use the term "racist" when they should be using the term "bigot" and it's common for people on the right to respond by hair-splitting the meaning of racism. Trump is a bigot. His words and his actions give that away quite clearly, and the whole, "but he isn't a racist because Mexican isn't a race" argument is childish at best.
