During President Trump's address to the nation about the Iran missile strike on US forces, President Trump made a bold statement. Trump claimed that the missiles were paid for by the cash that Obama sent to the country in appeasement.

According to Fox News:
President Trump took direct aim at former President Barack Obama on Wednesday, blaming the last administration for giving Iran money that he claimed was then used by Tehran to pay for missiles that were aimed at U.S. troops in Iraq.

“The missiles fired last night at us and our allies were paid for with the funds made available by the last administration,” Trump said from the White House, referring to settlement money the U.S. paid to Iran in 2016.

...

In his remarks, he pointed the finger at the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) from which the U.S. withdrew in 2018. While supporters of the deal claimed it kept Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, Trump on Wednesday renewed his assertion that it emboldened Tehran.

“Iran's hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013, and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash,” he said. “Instead of saying thank you to the United States, they chanted 'Death to America.'”

President Trump did say that he would be willing to negotiate a new deal with Iran moving forward but also warned that new sanctions would be levied if the Iranians did not change their ways.

Whenever he screws up, he tries to blame someone else. Who, in their right mind, thinks that Iran saved up their money ( the money released by Obama WAS their money, not ours ) to build missiles - just in case?

I’m with him all the way. The man was a God send for this otherwise sick and confused country. Go Trump and God continue to bless us.

Iran Launches Weak Attack Against U.S.–Trump Humiliates Them With Response
BY SONS OF 1776 JANUARY 8, 2020

Since President Trump took out hated Iranian general Soleimani, the rogue nation has promised revenge. Liberals have been panicking, claiming this is the start of World War III. Last night, Iran tried to exert its strength with missile attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq. The president responded. Let’s just say Iran doesn’t know what it’s doing.

It’s really sickening to see Democrats defend an enemy nation. Ever since Donald Trump killed Soleimani, liberals have been falling over themselves sticking up for the murderous general and Iran. They hate the president so much, that they’d sympathize with a nation that wants us and our allies dead.

Quickly after the news of Soleimani’s death was announced, idiots online started panicking. They began to spread the fake news that this strike would lead to World War III. Really? We strike Iran to take out their worst terrorist—and that leads to a global conflict?

Just think about this for a second. Which country is going to join with Iran to fight us? Iran is hated the world over. Numerous nations joined with the U.S. to hit the country with sanctions. Iran does not have allies willing to go against the United States and NATO.

But sure, keep spreading the lie that WWIII is upon us, CNN. You’re completely worthless.

Here is more reason not to worry about world war. Last night, Iran tried to “escalate” tensions by firing missiles into Iraq. It was clear they were targetting military bases that housed U.S. troops. But after the dust settled, we learned that there were few to no casualties.

President Trump took to Twitter to assure the nation that Iran is a big fat failure.

President Donald Trump responded to Iran attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq on Tuesday night by announcing that damage assessments that are taking place appear to show that minimal, if any, damage was done.

“All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq,” Trump tweeted. “Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Apparently, our forces were well-aware of a potential attack by Iran. According to the Pentagon, they had already taken measures to ensure their safety, should Iran act. It seems Iran is so bad at this kind of thing, that their “surprise attack” did nothing.

In recent days and in response to Iranian threats and actions, the Department of Defense has taken all appropriate measures to safeguard our personnel and partners. These bases have been on high alert due to indications that the Iranian regime planned to attack our forces and interests in the region. [Source: Daily Wire]

This is probably why the rogue nation has spent years training and equipping terrorists, rather than fight openly. They are so bad at real warfare, that they’d rather take the cowardly route of killing innocent civilians, women and children. When they go up against real armies, they are quick to fail.

It seems the only thing Iran is really good at is talking big. If they were to go toe-to-toe with the United States and our allies, they would surely regret it. We knew about their attack so far in advance, we made sure it was a big miss.

Iran is a reckless and hateful regime, run by arrogant children. Their only goal is to acquire nuclear weapons. Even with a military as pathetic as theirs, nukes would cause mass destruction wherever they fired them.

This is why President Trump is so adamant against Iran getting them. He has vowed that they will never acquire or make nuclear weapons. He tore up the Iran Nuclear Deal, knowing it would lead to an eventual nuclear-capable Iran.

Our last president actually did everything he could to reward Iran. He gave them a deal and even sent them palettes of cash. Iran pushed Obama around like a bully.

I guess they thought Trump was the same. But they’re learning the hard way, he’s not.

You are right. I have it on good authority that every penny of that money went to help homeless homosexuals and battered rape victims. Except for the part they spent on promoting religious tolerance. of course.
The fact that their money was confiscated (frozen) after they committed an act of war against the US shouldn't matter, should it? Everyone knows that the Iranians are pure as the driven snow and have never ever committed an act of terror, sponsored or helped terrorists in any way, or been responsible for any American deaths.

Of course they used that money to fund terrorists, they’ve done it for years. It was their money and was frozen for violating sanctions. Never had to be released.

The money was always theirs... Unfreezing it didn't earn the US any gratitude... That would be like you holding my money then agreeing to return it if I accepted certain conditions...

The money went into their economy... Part of that economy is geared towards the military and aid to groups that Iran supports... Obviously...

Blaming Obama was a small thing to do... Trump should talk the talk if he's going to walk the walk...

America doesn't need another unwinnable war... Hope this doesn't escalate....

I believe we’ve learned our lesson about regime change. No more boots on their ground. However; we could destroy Iran’s economy (already a mess) by taking out their oil fields. Of course that would affect the price of oil which is sold on the world market.
