Once again the writer is expressing his opinion of law. The federal law prohibits the IG from disclosing the whistleblower it does not address others. What it does do is prevent retaliation against whistleblower. My question "what if what the whistleblower reports is untrue?" Then protection goes out the window.

That's why his statement was given to the IG to investigate the truth fullness it was found credible
