Lets take a look at what we have here...

The name itself explicitly suggests a "syndrome," which the Oxford English Dictionary defines as "a characteristic combination of opinions, emotions, or behavior." Several commentators have run with this, putting forth suggestions about opinions, emotions and behaviors characterizing TDS.

Shared amongst these is a notion that the everyday activities of President Trump trigger some people into distorted opinions, extreme emotions and hysterical behaviors. Well-known writer Bernard Goldberg gives behavioral examples of TDS among Trump’s political opponents, including fainting, vomiting, students retreating to "safe spaces" and others demanding "therapy dogs...I would add people who protest, riot, leave trash and feces everywhere and those who can't stop writing endless anti trump propaganda like Paul Krugman, a well known Nobel Prize winner “who is suffering from an especially acute public case of what’s come to be known as Trump Derangement Syndrome”

"In short, Krugman is suffering from an especially public case of what’s come to be known as Trump Derangement Syndrome," Mallaby continued. "Appalled by the Republican Party’s leaders, whose rise he traces at least as far back as the George W. Bush administration, he has allowed himself to believe that nearly all Republicans are corrupt and evil, and therefore that reasoned argument is futile. 'The modern G.O.P. doesn’t do policy analysis,' he pronounces. Yet the reality is subtler. Republicans are more open to reason than Krugman allows."

Such forms of highly emotional reaction could be something akin to the fainting and screaming characterizing American Beatlemania in the 1960s. Unlike the Beatles, however, the extreme emotional reaction alleged to characterize TDS is not based on adoration and admiration, but on fear and loathing

Some people have been seriously disturbed and distressed by the policies, speech, behavior, and tweets of President Trump, so much so that it has affected their cognitive, affective, and behavioral functioning. Such people may need mental health support

Crayon-Edit > I've seen first hand those with TDS that have fits of rage, obsess over every little bit of MSLSD fake news media, write endless diatribes and worthless propaganda; but I digress

As Paul Harvey would say... "Now, here's the rest of the story...

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a satirical psychological diagnosis used to explain the hysterical reaction and belligerent behavior of people, PRO or CON, generally directed towards anything related to President Donald Trump as pertaining to his presidency. It isn't intended to be a logical argument, rather a jab at another individual's excessive emotional reactions as well as aggressive physical displays. It is an ad hominem argument, not a strawman argument as suggested by definition...and, there are numerous variations on TDS, all of which have their own particular partisan/ideological twist.

TDS was originally a made-up condition, conceived as an insult label by the alt-right to attack anyone who criticizes or refuses to support Donald Trump...the idea being the left is so obsessed with Trump they have collectively lost their minds. Like many of their other little online crusades, this one has backfired. People dislike Trump for actual reasons which often go well beyond just politics or partisanship, and if anyone has Trump Derangement Syndrome it's those on the right that blindly support him. Many have lost their sense of morality, religious convictions, principles, objectivity, all discernment, and even the ability to have a civil discussion or reason. So the term has now been co-opted by others to refer to Trump supporters who are blinded by their unrealistic devotion to Trump.

The origin of the term 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' is traced to political columnist and conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer, a psychiatrist, who originally coined the phrase 'Bush derangement syndrome' in 2003 during the presidency of George W. Bush. That syndrome was defined by Krauthammer as "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency – nay – the very existence of George W. Bush." The first use of the term 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' may have been by Esther Goldberg in an August 2015 op-ed in The American Spectator; She applied the term to "Ruling Class Republicans" who are dismissive or contemptuous of Trump. Krauthammer, himself a harsh critic of Trump, later defined "Trump derangement syndrome" as a Trump-induced "general hysteria" among the chattering classes, producing an "inability to distinguish between legitimate policy differences and ... signs of psychic pathology" in the President's behavior.

With a Paul Harvey sign-off... "And now you know the rest of the story."

To make it clear: Paul Harvey did not say or write my previous post. It is of my own doing. I was just using Mr. Harvey's signature opening and closing lines to tell another side of the story.

Thank you.

The point is: As is always the case, crazies exist on both sides of the partisan/ideological aisle.

It is people with MAGA hats who are getting attacked. Start wearing one and see what happens.

Hold it together ;do not let Trump and the Republicans digress you.Its one thing to be regressed ,which is only a matter of achieving or reaching a plateau and decending to a lesser status that you had advanced beyond. When becoming digressed one is reverting to a Neanderthal,or Peking Man,or perhaps even Homo Erectus. When you have got to the point where you might be Identified
as the missing link, let some know,it still today, remains a point of question.

Paul Harvey was the First 'ON AIR Conservative' ...I'm sure the home grown commie luci's will appreciate
what Harvey predicted decades ago

In Paul Harvey’s own words, here is what he said he would do, if he “were the devil.”

“If I were the prince of darkness, I would want to engulf the whole world in darkness. I’d have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree — thee. So, I would set about however necessary to take over the United States.

“I’d subvert the churches first, and I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: ‘Do as you please.’

“To the young, I would whisper that the Bible is a myth. I would convince the children that man created God instead of the other way around. I’d confide that what’s bad is good and what’s good is square. And the old, I would teach to pray after me, ‘Our Father, which art in Washington ...’

“Then, I’d get organized, I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull and uninteresting. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. I’d tranquilize the rest with pills.

“If I were the devil, I’d soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves and nations at war with themselves until each, in its turn, was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings, I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames.

“If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine young intellect but neglect to discipline emotions. I’d tell teachers to let those students run wild. And before you knew it, you’d have drug-sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every schoolhouse door. With a decade, I’d have prisons overflowing and judges promoting pornography. Soon, I would evict God from the courthouse and the schoolhouse and then from the houses of Congress. In his own churches, I would substitute psychology for religion and deify science. I’d lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls and church money.

“If I were the devil, I’d take from those who have and give to those who wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. What’ll you bet I couldn’t get whole states to promote gambling as the way to get rich?

“I’d convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun and that what you see on television is the way to be. And thus, I could undress you in public and lure you into bed with diseases for which there are no cures.

“In other words, if I were the devil, I’d just keep right on doing what he’s doing.”

There have been many publicized incidents of people wearing MAGA hats being verbally and physically assaulted.

I have not read/heard a single report of someone with an "Impeach Trump" bumper sticker being vandalized. And I am quite sure the MSM would publicize that far and wide.

With the Trump hate bringing out such unhinged behaviors in so many folks, it might be satirical but it is real, none the less. There would be other names for irrational behaviors due to hate; this one is specific to those hating Trump. For example proclaiming it would be better to have a disastrous economy with thousands of folks losing the jobs and returning to poverty sucking the life out of us, all in exchange for unseating Trump, well, I think you get the picture.

I believe that PDS is contagious because it has spread across the aisle in Congress. We we have been innundated by the Democratic side by Nancy and her minons.

That would be a great way to teach them about themselves. Put pro-Trump stickers on the leftist Trump haters cars! Learn about their side first hand!!
