Yes Palin would have been 1000 times better then what we got now. At least she loves this country. Obama does not even know where he is from. He has so many birth certificates in his dresser drawer. Lincoln was a liberal repub at a time that the Whigs were the conservative party. Later the Southern Democrats were arch conservative while repubs were still dressing left. (Eisenhower was generally left of Obama) and, after Kennedy was elected the policies of each party began the swap we have today. Today BOTH parties are rather right of center (to reactionary right). There is nobody who can disagree with this simplified bit of history that most jr. high schoolers know.
I am pleased to hear a repub eschewing racism and ultra-conservatism though- distancing himself from the radicals in his party- we may yet return to a coherent conservative voice that the country so badly needs.
On the subject of 'welfare slavery' I agree that is a real issue- but only the negative part of the issue- there are very positive (and Christian-like) aspects of helping the poor and disenfranchised. Like all systems, welfare needs continual critique and repair. Fix it don't nix it.

When this idiot was voted in I thought well it is time we had a black president. Went into it with a open mind. It took me some time trying to give him the benefit he should have.Half way into his first turm I thought what the hell happened here. Executive orders are for implementing laws passed by Congress, not creating whole new immigration laws. And there have been several other examples of this. Other presidents have used executive orders to implement policies but not to either ignore laws passed by congress and signed by a previous president or to create whole new laws, two of which have been struck down by the Supreme Court 9-0.

A borrower is slave to the lender. What ever we owe them, they own the same value of the USA. And as we run up the debt, we sell even more of our country to others. So maybe you are just not willing to admit the problems this administration has.
