Unemployment rates are over rated. All they measure is how many people are eligible for unemployment benefits.
The real numbers to look at are found in the labor participation rate.

These numbers have been pretty flat since 2013. 2019 measures at 63.3%. 2013-62.8%

I am of the opinion that the presidency gets both too much credit and too much blame for the economy. It really comes down to business cycles. Of course occasionally there are massive shocks to the system, like 2008.

Correct. However, this ruling could fast track the process in the case regarding whether Trump or his inner circle can avoid an examination by Congress.
I totally understand why Trump doesn’t want to testify or allow his people to testify either. In every case the initial charges directly made in the articles of impeachment were not what did the damage. Both the House and the Senate are chock full of very, very, good lawyers. The slightest misstep could lead to far more serious consequences.
