Column of the Day: How Trump’s Tax Cuts May Have Backfired
Washington Post Columnist Robert J. Samuelson writes:
"To some extent, the Republican tax theory has been road-tested — and found wanting. Similarly, the Democratic theory has also been road-tested — and found to fit the facts more closely. ... If lower taxes didn’t stimulate more corporate investment, then the converse may also be true: Raising taxes on the rich won’t kill the economy. If the rich feel squeezed, they could offset the effect by spending a bit more of their wealth. Ironically, Trump’s misguided corporate tax cuts have made the super-rich more vulnerable to higher taxes than they would have been."

Ain't a rich man out there who doesn't feel broke when higher taxes are inflicted on him.
So, tax the rich and they will spend more money? Bullnadler.
Tax the rich, which includes anyone who has saved money and invested it, and soon the kommiecrat will be voted out of office, just like Trump got elected after the Socialist Kenyan Kommiecrat trashed the economy and the foundation of America.

I know it's fun, but if and many think they won't get it through the house, it will die in the Senate. I have to admit it is funny seeing them falling all over themselves and they still don't have a crime. I love that part, it's almost as good as Lucie and Ethyl..almost so enjoy.

I do love the irony. Investments always come from opportunity which is why simply having more cash on hand does not prompt more investment. A sophomore econ student knows that. Too bad Trump can't find an economist with the training of a sophomore econ student...

Archie, apparently neither you nor PR bothered to read the paragraph..
Not about consumer spending...
It is however proposed that the tax gift had none of the proposed effect on our already bustling economy..
so rather then repair anything like the national debt, we gifted the rich and kicked the can down the road to be dealt with at a later date at a much higher cost..
Dumb as a rock the biz wiz the slithered into the oval office.. as the laughter at the NATO meeting confirms..
You best leash that dog of yours, if I come over I will bring my boss tom cat..
He got done with my dog just this morning, a single wack on the nose and the scuffle was over..

Your cat wouldn't stand a chance. The only thing I've ever seen make that dog yelp, or back down is electric skock. And that's funny s $$t to watch!!
Now, who exactly are "the rich" that we need to tax?

Which breed, shar pei?
personally, if my dog was that ugly, I'd paint a face on his butt and teach him to walk backwards!!
I had a wonderful dog half black lab and sharpei! Beautiful with shiny black hair and a wrinkly face and butt! One of the best dogs ever! Big and looked ferocious but was gentle and sweet!

Perhaps you have seen my posts about my fine dog, all appearance and no action..
But I tell him that it is not what he does, but how he looks when he does it.. that is the American way, ask the Kardashens...
And he does love me, follows me everywhere, from room to room and sleeps next to my bed..
Which rich to tax?? How about we simply remove the orange tax gift and go back to the levels we had..
