The Fiscal Times....

Column of the Day: How Trump’s Tax Cuts May Have Backfired
Washington Post Columnist Robert J. Samuelson writes:

"To some extent, the Republican tax theory has been road-tested — and found wanting. Similarly, the Democratic theory has also been road-tested — and found to fit the facts more closely. ... If lower taxes didn’t stimulate more corporate investment, then the converse may also be true: Raising taxes on the rich won’t kill the economy. If the rich feel squeezed, they could offset the effect by spending a bit more of their wealth. Ironically, Trump’s misguided corporate tax cuts have made the super-rich more vulnerable to higher taxes than they would have been."

How will this end my fun times?

Sorry Permi, but reading socialist/progressive bunk on the internet doesn't end my fun times.
Even if you bang on my front door, and scream it at me it'll just increase my fun because the look on your face when you find yourself staring down the black hole in the end of my 12ga "assault" shotgun, and facing 80lbs of snarling, viscous, deadly "assault" pitbull will be priceless.
I won't even be mad when you shit your pants, and it runs down your leg. I'll just hose it off the sidewalk, and continue my fun.

If you want to increase your fun times, you should be watching today's impeachment hearing. Democrates are Shi#ing all over themselves. Very Funny to see Jerry Nadler wearing a Christmas Tree Shaped air freshener around his neck to disguise the smell of failure.

You grab snippets of fact that are irrelevant to an overall concept, and conflate them with things that they don't apply to.

Debt is a better indicator of how people are spending, there are a dozen other things that reference whether tax cuts are working, and the jury is back and the word is that they absolutely are not.

Raising taxes on the rich does in fact force them to invest in their businesses and economy rather than pay more out in taxes from profits. As profits went up in my bird food company my partner and I strategized every year on what equipment we needed to spend the money on rather than incur a tax bill. More equipment meant more skilled employees to operate it.

Archie, apparently neither you nor PR bothered to read the paragraph..

Not about consumer spending...

It is however proposed that the tax gift had none of the proposed effect on our already bustling economy..

so rather then repair anything like the national debt, we gifted the rich and kicked the can down the road to be dealt with at a later date at a much higher cost..

Dumb as a rock the biz wiz the slithered into the oval office.. as the laughter at the NATO meeting confirms..

You best leash that dog of yours, if I come over I will bring my boss tom cat..

He got done with my dog just this morning, a single wack on the nose and the scuffle was over..

still doing fun stuff also. When winter comes we may shut down...

The fact is, tax revenue is up after Trumps big tax cut. It was predicted and has happened. Why would we want to "fix" that?

Give it up, Mr. Frost. Anyone with two good eyes, hell, even the blind can see that what you and your "opinion providers" at the anti-Trump WaPo are purveying does not correspond with actual reality.

The "proof of the pudding" will come to you on the night of 3 November 2020 with the same degree of shock the results in November 2016 came to Hillary the Walking Crime Wave® on her night of woe.
