You are right, but sadly as young adults flee the cities, they do not associate the conditions they left with the leftists they continue to vote for. They are likely to vote into office in their new locations, exactly the same rulers they fled from. I have nieces and nephews who fit this model. They are well educated and successful, yet politically naive.
