I think it's too late for her to do anything. Democrats won House seats in swing districts by forswearing partisan feuds in order to concentrate on the needs of their constituents. They pledged to focus less on conflict than on finding common ground with their Republican colleagues. They also adjusted their comments concerning President Trump and, when the subject of impeachment arose, insisted that it would be a divisive and unproductive exercise. Since the midterms, however, all but two Dems voted in favor of a hyper-partisan impeachment resolution, exposing their campaign promises as cynical lies and ensuring that the Democrats will lose their House majority in 2020. That's why Nancy is between a rock and a hard place right now - she has nowhere to turn, and she has lost control.

By going forward with impeachment proceedings, Pelosi has declared political war. She knows this will animate the GOP base. And look what it has become! And while this is annoying - this impeachment circus - it’s also highly entertaining; Trump lives rent-free in the minds of the American Left. And every time they try something new to get rid of him, the more insane they get, which also increases the chances that Trump secures a second term.
I think it's too late for her to do anything. Demo... (show quote)

So right you are, and for the last 3 years the democrats have been nonstop throwing Schiff against the wall with hopes some might stick, I am so tired of it all, Trump in 2020 !!

Absolutely, bahmer. She knows the jig is up. Trump's approval rating is going up. They had the most abysmal week; whatever number of witnesses produced absolutely nothing furthering their farcical cause. Schiff looked like the symbol for Dems (an ass). As one smart pundit said, "It looked like an abject failure. So well put. For the Dems, politics as usual....in the gutter (or lower). Support? thanks again, buddy.

I agree. let them go. Maybe we can get them to stay away longer. They get paid the big bucks for doing absolutely nothing. Congress approval rating must be at rock bottom.

I read somewhere that Congress' approval rating hasn't been over 30% in over 50 years

That's why they have to try and stay in office -- any efficiently managed private sector business would take one look at any of their resumes and either toss it in the "circular file" or pass it around as a joke sheet.
