Yeah, usually the determination results in a denial for lack of information. If they keep you poor and uninsured long enough, you won't be able to afford medical exams to document your claim, ongoing....

You can ask for and get a reconsideration that might take another year, then an appeal if that is turned down, before an Administrative Law Judge.

If the Judge says you need more information, they send you to their doctors.

If that is finally denied you can start a new claim.

You know, every time you come to an agreement, be it a treaty, a contract or a backyard agreement with a handshake, it could be convoluted by anyone using liberal illogic to be blackmail or extortion. Say you sign a con tract for a $300,000.oo home and you lose your job (by no fault of your own) and get 3 months behind, the house will be repossessed. Suppose you loan your weed whacker to your neighbor in exchange for some repairs around your house and he doesn't do the promised repairs, you darn sure go retrieve the weed whacker. Were any of those 'deals' extortion or blackmail? I'll leave that answer to the liberals..

But its only proper for our crooked, illegitimately elected officials to do these deals, not the crooked shadow government background channel Rudy Giuliani was running to direct things!

No matter how you slice it it appears that Trump has done more for the Ukrainians than the last administration...

And the Ukrainians don't think that they were shafted...Check out what their president has to say on the matter...

As I previously posted there were very valid reasons for Obama not to supply Ukraine's with large weaponry, trying not to provoke Russia. I also showed that Obama did not "do nothing" as it seems you would like us to believe. Obama moved cautiously unlike Trump.

Trump needed to follow through with what congress approved of, which he eventually did to save his derriere.

I happen to disagree with you as far as no effect on the troops. Different times acquire different measures, each situation as to be individually evaluated, nothing remains the same, therefore giving Trump more credit, is a poor comparison. We also do NOT live in a supreme dictatorship, not yet anyway. Having a loose rogue canon as our commander in chief is not a good thing in this day and age, slow and steady wins the race.

The term shakedown is being well used...

It was all serving Putin's interests, imagine the damage US high tech anti tank weapons would have done to Russian tanks that weren't supposed to even be there. Trump obstructed military aid to the Ukraine for some time, and when congress acted he continued to keep US weapons from being used against Russian mercenaries or whatever they were.

Bye, you're wasting my time.

Trump withholds military aid (not javelins)... The Ukraine is immediately in danger of being invaded... (although it isn't)... This is bad policy...

Ok...

That's not what Trump is in trouble for and you know it, that comment flew like a led zepplin. Poor, poor pitiful Trumpy, he has my sympathies.

True Story!

My sons SSD was just approved this year, seven years after having to leave college for Bipolar Disorder.

His Medicaid was terminating as his Social Secutity Disability was finally established. Yesterday his Medicare became effective.

The day before yesterday, I got a phone call waking me from a nap. Some gruff male voice announced he was an Administrative Law Judge with Medicaid and was performing a Judicial Appeal for wrongful termination of my son's Medicaid benefits. I as his responsible decision maker needed to attend and answer!

I told him my late morning nap was already interrupted by two callers who wanted to assist me with extending my auto warranty that was just about to expire, last warning, except I bought a new car in January with a 5 year warranty. They didn't have my name or any info on the car. Scams. Lisa from card holder services also performed her daily robocheck. And one fax signal.

Now I'm supposed to believe out of the blue that a JUDGE is holding a legal proceeding in my living room without asking me to provide any ID!?!

I yelled, " Stop digging in people's trash cans, waking old ladies up from their naps, and F*CK OFF, Bitch!" REALLY loudly. He huffed and hung up.

My son told me at lunch he had gotten a letter....

It was not a scam. But the appeal was initiated by error as the Medicaid SHOULD terminate now that SSD has started. It finally might start to be better for a little minute here.

But Judges are phoning it in now....

The woman at Medicare info told me they did have an order for a phone hearing but it wasn't scheduled. I told her about my phone call. I heard her go pale over the phone! We worked it out.

The term is Latin which is where our language originated. It is a common legal term used in US courts since our beginnings. In the instance of its use here you are right it is improper. It simply means you do this for me and I do this for you. To a simpleton “a deal” is a pretty good summation but again wrong. The proper term here is extortion. So let’s call it what it really is, not quid pro quo or a deal but extortion. You see like in the film The Godfather, a criminal making a victim under duress an “offer they cannot refuse” is not a deal at all it is a felony.

Actually, the English language has relatively few Latin-derived words. It is not a so-called Romance language like Spanish or French (in this context, Romance refers to the Romans' language, Latin). The word "democracy" is derived from the Greek language. English is closer to German as a language.

We really need to stop using the phrase "quid pro quo" as it is in some foreign language and unAmerican. American lawmakers and citizens can't be expected to understand what such a thing could even mean!

So. Let's use the real All-American phrase that this Administration knows well and has made popular ... let's call it what it is...

A DEAL!

By the way, I disagree. It's not un-American!

Hmm, I learned "quid pro quo" in high school debate class. It's three little words, not one big one. Translation? Carrot and stick!

Well, let's see, Crimea is supposed to be part of the Ukraine, and there were many deaths when Putin took it by force
