UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS Muslim students “demand” mandatory ‘Islamophobia’ training & more Palestinian faculty or they will force the chancellor to resign

Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) sent out a list of demands in October after meeting with various chancellors in response to a mass email from the school suggesting that an SJP presentation was anti-Semitic.

Campus Reform“Concerns were raised about a recent presentation with anti-Semitic content at a staff development program by a Housing student-worker,” reads the email from UIUC Chancellor Robert Jones, obtained by Campus Reform. Jones was referencing a presentation given to a full-time staff member and 11 other student-employees.
After describing this and a swastika allegedly found in a campus building, the chancellor announced that full-time housing staff, multicultural advocates, and resident advisors would be required to complete anti-Semitism training.
In response, the SJP released a list of demands, calling for, among other items, a new mass email making a distinction between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism, a clarification in the email that the referenced student presentation did not feature anti-Semitism, the hiring of additional Palestinian faculty, and the requirement for housing personnel to be educated on “Islamophobia, anti-Blackness, queerphobia, and other forms of racism/bias.”

SJP asked the university to denounce a perceived link between Nazi symbols with Palestinian-related content.
According to SJP, “failure to comply with the demands above will result in students’ demand for the resignation of Chancellor Robert Jones from his office.”

Jewish Journal The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) Student Senate passed a resolution denying a link between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism on Oct. 23, causing more than 400 Jewish students to walk out of the meeting in protest.
Fox Illinois reports that the resolution passed with 29 votes in favor, four against and four abstaining. The resolution states that the Oxford English dictionary defines Zionism as “the assured settlement of [Jewish people’s] race upon a national basis in Palestine” and condemns “the constant conflation of Anti-Zionism and Anti-Semitism.”
Student Lauren Nesher added that the resolution’s passage shows that student leaders believe “that Jews on this campus do not have the right to define” anti-Semitism. “We will not negotiate anti-Semitism,” Nesher said. “We will not negotiate our safety. We will not negotiate our fear. We will not negotiate our homeland. We will not negotiate anti-Semitism.”

It has been proven time and time again that these types of demands will never end and will only increase in their intensity. There’s only one option … If you do not STAND YOUR GROUND then you’ll be overrun.

First Amendment rights are violated if this is enforced. Only Islam can have mandatory Islamophobia training. They must not merge that with public schools curricula because it involves religion.
First Amendment:
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prevents the government from making laws which respect an establishment of religion, prohibit the free exercise of religion, or abridge the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the right to peaceably assemble, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.

I tell you Islam is so clever to surreptitiously get into our system until they are strong enough to overrun our system. Their goal is to Islamization of the United States. They have done that mostly in Europe.

I heartily agree. IMHO: If these people don't like it here, don't come here. If they don't like what a United States University is supposed to teach, don't go to that University, and if a USA University insists on teaching a curriculum that reflects poorly on the USA or is against our Constitution they should be immediately de-funded, the offending professors blackballed from teaching, and closed. There should be no "grants" to foreign students; they should have their own funding or a sponsor other than the government.

Muslims are certainly nothing special, and while in this country they should obey our laws and be tolerant of them; Sharia Law doesn't apply to the USA. I don't have anything against Muslims, other than they profess to want me either to convert to being a Muslim or be dead. I shouldn't be required to pay taxes to support someone who hates me and wants me dead! If I had to go to war, and had Muslims in my platoon, I certainly wouldn't let them march behind me with a weapon in their hands, even if I liked them personally.

One supposedly goes to a University to learn a wide variety of things, not a limited and narrow scope of material; the goal used to be to get a "rounded" education, not just basket weaving, fear, government dependence, hate, and discontent. College isn't for everyone, else if everyone had a "degree in something" they would want a "position" and not a "job" and there wouldn't be anyone left to do the grunt work!

Religion is a subject of personal choices and some faith in something or someone, and if one religion is not allowed to be taught in a University, then no religion should be taught there; actually, religious education should only be taught at home or in a church, and no specific religion should be forced upon any citizen of the USA, nor should any US citizen be forced by anyone, including the government, to subscribe to any specific religion. An awful lot of people, professed religious people, are so insecure in their belief that they are afraid to talk about it, and that's a damned shame because sometimes one learns something from someone else even when they disagree with each others beliefs. It appears that tolerance and common sense have been completely obliterated by Progressive Democrat-Socialist political correctness in the USA. For those who think their religion is the only valid religion, logic disputes this because their are more than one religion that thinks it's only "their way or the highway," and logic only leads to one truth; so who's to choose? Not me for damned sure! I have nothing against anyone's religion, I just don't care much for the money grubbing "organized religions!"

Frankly, the Federal government should stay the Hell out of education altogether, including funding it; education should be funded, and the curriculum chosen, by the local governments except for things in common that are necessarily relevant to National security and things that make interstate and international things work smoothly. Governments should not be allowed to tax any amount more than it takes to actually run the government with the consent of the legal tax paying citizens. The USA comes first, above any other Nation.

The First Amendment applies to all US citizens, natural born or legal immigrants, not to hostile foreigners and migrants. Those Muslims that are migrants have no constitutional rights in the USA, and those who go through our immigration program are the only "illegal immigrants" I can think of; in order to become a citizen one has to take an Oath of Allegiance to the USA, and they, according to their religious beliefs, cannot swear allegiance to anything but Allah, so they must lie to a Federal Official in order to swear allegiance to the USA, and that is a crime. Immigrants are also supposed to assimilate into the USA borders, language (English), and culture, not form obstinate local cults and villages that believe they are above the law of the Constitution of the United States of America. If they can't do this, then they do not belong here!

Well, I've ranted long enough with my opinion, but it's mine. Have a nice day.
