Term limits for Congress and the Senate..
What do you guys think 8 to 10 years enough???
One term for a Senator and 3 terms for a Representative to the House. If they can't get rich in 6 years, they shouldn't be in Washington.
Absolutely! ! ! There is so much corruption and much is due to the monetary payoffs these people are getting from big Pharm and other nations to bribe them, not to mention the insider trading that goes on. The legislative branch was never meant to be a final career path for anyone. Also, I think insider trading should be illegal for husbands, wives, brothers, sisters and children and grandchildren. AND they should all be on Medicare while in office and have similar retirement benefits as the rest of us. I'd go for 3 terms for representatives and 2 for senators. That would limit the damage they could do.

Good plan, but do you think congress is going to pass such a plan? I don't like the idea of a Constitutional Convention, but that is the only way to get it done.

And once they run for one of the offices and win they should not be able to run for the other office and vice versa. Would solve the problems and keep the ones out that do not want to uphold the constitution of the USA.
Several states have qualified for a Constitutional Convention. Does anyone know what the count is?

We already have term limits. They're called elections, and they happen every 2 years for Congressmen. The same ones who get reelected about 90% of the time by people who wonder why nothing ever changes.
The Senate every four years and they get reelected at a rate of some 97%.
