Fear in the Bible is the recognition of God's perfect omniscience and power, his ultimate rule as judge over of all mankind. What is described as fear is not fear, per se. It is total reverence and awe and obedience to his holy word. The Lord made it abundantly clear throughout Scripture we are not to fear.
Isaiah 43:1 “Don't fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.” God actually commands us not to fear, or worry. The phrase “fear not” is used 365 times in some form in the Bible, most likely because He knows the enemy uses fear to decrease our hope and limit our victories.
Nothing in this life is a threat. Nothing! No enemies, except to love in his name. No worry, either, which is a low grade fear but nonetheless serious. For each of us, we have to loop deeply look at and pray about our involvement in politics. Party alliances have us possibly make enemies of certain people: should we tolerate this action? The Lord is not of this world and neither should we be: we are citizens of heaven.
If America suddenly started persecuting Christians, our response is dictated by the Gospel: love. Was Jesus overstating case, too idealistic, losing touch with reality when he said "Love your enemy as yourself" (Matthew5:24) or "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans12:21)
Yes, there are key pieces in the Democrat platform and then just their anti-religious attitude that seems to invoke a need to fight back or even hate. That is not the way of Christ. Utmost: trust in the Lord. Leave it all in his hands and heart.
(Yes, those that will say I am hypocrite and not perfect will attack me and not address the point, and they are right. But so is what I said is nonetheless right.)
Do you know what trusting Christ means? Do you know what it means to be saved?

Why don't you explain it?
Then we can see if we all have the same idea...

I agree that we should fear the Lord... Ultimately only the Lord...
But isn't that what this fear is about? Fear that we will fall into sin and find ourselves cut off fromHim...Subject to His displeasure... Damned....
It is not persecution that worries me... But the results said persecution may bring about... A Godless society with no beacon to lead them Home...

Yawn. Do you guys go to training to try to stop conversation by deprecating the opponent or calling his faith into question? It is surprising and very tiring that you cannot address my topics without attacking me. Am I am wrong in what I said? Do you have a thought or proof to educate my possible misconception, as we are commanded by God? Address the topic, please, for once!

Stop making it your love of the Right. You are commanded to educate and rebuke me in any errors that you perceive. I welcome some actual debate. Or even just scriptural chiding on how wrong I am be.

I didn’t attack you and you just answered my questions. No.
Jesus was no wallflower. He was a warrior and He minced no words when it came to sin. He was outspoken, offended most and they killed Him for it. He smashed and drove out those who made the temple courts into a marketplace and that was a huge area. He still offends people. Thats why so many only accept part of His message.

Be rational. It has nothing to do with right or left.

You're right, it shouldn't. But it seems it does for you, unfortunately. Why always attack me if not, and without answering the question? I have dealt with your ilk for fifty years. Always the same pompous rhetoric.

As I said, you are not being rational. Same old rumi.

As I said, you are not being decent in this debate. If you can prove me wrong please, do so. But you choose not to address the subject, just insult. Lol, to quote your president, "very sad!"
