https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/opinion/how-to-sell-your-soul-to-donald-trump/ar-AAIksKW?ocid=spartandhpThere’s no way that Mike Pompeo actually venerates Donald Trump. I doubt he even likes the president much.
Pompeo graduated first in his class at West Point decades ago, a feat that suggests enormous reserves of discipline, a profound respect for tradition and a talent for self-effacement when the circumstances warrant it. Trump possesses none of those qualities.
Pompeo is an evangelical Christian, steeped in the very dictums that Trump has spent a lifetime mocking with both his words and his deeds. And Pompeo has long believed in the importance of American military intervention abroad, the kind of activist role that Trump railed against during his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.
n fact Pompeo, who was then a congressman from Kansas, supported Marco Rubio — and publicly praised him, while disparaging Trump, just before the state’s Republican caucus in March 2016. As Susan Glasser of The New Yorker recalled in an excellent recent profile of Pompeo, he sounded an alarm that Trump would be “an authoritarian president who ignored our Constitution.” He urged Republicans to come to their senses and resist the lure of the surging Trump campaign. “It’s time,” he said, “to turn down the lights on the circus.”
But the lights continued to burn bright, so Pompeo just put on a clown suit, put away his ethics and finagled a big role under the Big Top.

Graduating at the top of a class does not imply anything you wrote. It only means the individual applied themselves to study. In fact it does not imply that the person is amoral, immoral or moral, it only means an individual is dedicated achieving a 100 percent score on memorized material that is subject to the instructor's value of importance.
Further, an individual can profess to be any religion and may even go through the ritual of that religion. Thing is, we do not know if a person really believes, only our Father knows for sure.
So, I am assuming from your last sentence that you approved of him while he campaigned against President Trump, but now that he has reevaluated his position, you believe him to have lost his vision.
Ever occur to you that people change and we need to accept change?

So what's your point?
Nikki Haley was a major critic of Trump and he appointed her UN ambassador because she was the right person for the job, and she proved an awesome choice.
Mike Pompeo's doing a great job, the exact opposite of the tragic and corrupt performances of both John Kerry and Hillary Clinton in the same position.
In the typical leftist
anything to project some doom & gloom on the Trump Administration style, you are laying on the assumption that everybody lives and breathes their political leanings to the extent of sabotaging the administration they are working for; sorry, not everybody is a
f**king traitor Democrat or a swamp critter.
To both of you, though I did not write the story, it is obvious that most people had a negative opinion of trump, but sold their soul to be a part of his criminal enterprise. People who seemed to have character showed that they have none. Everything trump touches dies.

Chuckles... That is funny...

The only things that have died have been some diasterous unilateral foreign agreements and a number of destructive executive orders ala Obama.
However, resurrected? The economy, religious freedom, positive veterans' affairs and U.S. world leadership, to name a few things President Trump has touched that haven't died.
The tree you're barking up us not only the wrong one, it's in the wrong forest.

US world leadership? trump has withdrawn from the world. He bows down to utin and the Saudi's because he admires autocrats, and money.

That's just more leftist party line B.S., just like the racist and white supremacist slander.
The problem (your ilk's, not President Trump's) is, all those bald-faced lies have been run so deeply into the ground that most Americans don't believe them anymore, just a few rubes, dupes and dumbjohns whose dwindling numbers won't mean much in November 2020.

He purposely reaches out to "touch" the Progressive philosophy and agenda. That particular philosophy and agenda is advocated by people who have already forfeited a huge portion of their soul preventing them from making objective observations and decisions.

Funny, you loonies always say that butI've NEVER seen it. Obama kissed ass, not Trump.

Turkey just got him to abandon the Kurds, the only real fighting allies we had in the area.

Actually, he's already giving the Turks a sample of what they can expect if they pursue their war on the Kurds.
What you speak of with such ill-concealed glee is not as yet a "done deal."
