No it is not the crazy anti choice laws passed by right wing nutters. It’s thanks to the ACA otherwise known as Obamacare.
The number and rate of abortions fell to their lowest levels since abortion became legal nationwide with 1973's Roe v. Wade ruling, the Guttmacher Institute reported Wednesday. The research group, said it counted 863,000 abortions carried out in the U.S. in 2017, down from 926,000 in 2014 and just over 1 million in 2011. The Guttmacher Institute is the most reliable count of U.S. abortions, because unlike the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it aims to tally all pregnancies terminated in the country.
Abortions fell in all areas of the country, with 57 percent of the drop in the 18 states, plus the District of Columbia, that did not enact any abortion restrictions, the Guttmacher Institute found. The 400 state laws restriction abortion were not a big factor in the decline, but the drop in pregnancies appeared to be significant. The birth rate also declined during the period studied, and a likely factor in both drops, the report said, is the increased accessibility of contraception since the Affordable Care Act required most private health insurance plans to offer no-cost birth control in 2011.

Actually, they are trying to get the number of women in the U.S. 70 720 million so Joe won’t look too stupid.
Thanks... That is far more informative...

In see what you're trying to say... But there is no way I would ever be proud of the number 863,000 when it comes to abortion...
Get it down to zero and you'll have my admiration for life...
Actually, Rose, Kevyn isn't much different from the other left wing nutters who grasp at any straw to make their stupid position more believable. They're fun to watch.

Kevyn, why do you lefties refer to "anti-choice" laws instead of pro-life or anti-abortion laws or possibly anti baby killing? We are all for choice, it just depends on when the choice occurs or if it results in the taking of an innocent life.

KevYn, you really should study the meaning of the qualifiers, "could" and "might". Guttmacher obviously knows the meaning of both. One area that was definitely NOT considered is a possible return to DIGNITY, brought on by a view of "good stuff happening" since the election of President Trump. More and better jobs? More secure nation? Politicians not screwing us and getting away with it? Maybe there actually IS God? I hope so. This nation has SO MUCH MORE in it than we smell on the surface. Sensationalism over nothing. Who has more Billions? Did you hear what that Slut did? I hope he burns in Hell. SO MUCH NEGATIVITY! It affects people when THAT is all they see every day. But when things start looking UP, well, things start looking UP! And that's the direction we MUST continue in this GREAT NATION!

Abortions are probably down ( if that's true) due to women realizing that a baby is not just "cells"

We surely HOPE so, Debeda. There is a Divine Dignity in Conception. God intended it. He Blessed it. And He established it for the great good of humanity. Each conceived person has the SAME dignity in the "eyes" of God. Even the abortionist. Even the fearful aborting mother. The problem IMO is that these people refuse to HONOR that God-Given Dignity, and grovel in the pit of inhumanity.

Adjectives always figure into lefty arguments and titles, because all of their agendas require a hard-sell approach (it's very difficult to convince sensible people to agree with their menu of recipes for failure).
For example, anyone who disagrees with their anthropogenic climate change fairy-tale is a despicable "climate denier" while the diasterous Iran deal was desirably "comprehensive."
