Used to be for sure, and not because he agreed with us. He didn't, but at least his reasoning was thought out. Now he just throws ridiculous statements out there as if he's privy to inside information.

Probably because he's not easily manipulated, if at all.. he doesn't conform...He tells it like it is and they don't like it and call him a liar because that's all they have...and I really don't think it would have been any different had he run on what he used to be, which was dem... he would have, much like he is now... tell them they are fulla crap...and roll on!..

I think it's also because he is subject to expose an awful lot of evil that a lot of people have been getting away with for far too long. Mike

The fist part of your response is right and my response was poorly written. Constitutionally, there is nothing that bars a previous president from becoming Vice President. Of course...it has never happened, but would be interesting.

Ah, I learned something here. There appears to be a loophole that it could happen. It is a real question that if it happened it would certainly have to be judicially answered. The 12th Amendment (ratified in 1804 to fix some unexpected issues with the originally specified methods for selecting the President and Vice-President) It, of course. limited a person to 10 years/elected twice. But is also states that no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
But the question here is, Is he ineligible just because he was elected for two terms?"

Some would argue that a person who has already run up against the limits of the 22nd Amendment isn’t “constitutionally ineligible” to be President (i.e., doesn’t fail to meet one or more of the requirements specified in Article II of the constitution, such as being at least 35 years old or a natural-born citizen of the United States) but is merely constitutionally ineligible to be elected President. Under this interpretation, a former two-term President would still be eligible, under the law, to obtain and hold the office of Vice President through election or appointment to that position. Then if the president abdicates (the likely scenario) or dies, Voila! Prez again.

Then the others say, "Ah, not so fast, my friend. So to the courts we go."

IMHO it is much simpler to just skip all that and do what the Wallaces did. Elect Melanie in 2024.

Mike, I think he was replying to me, I agreed that the Constitution limits the term of president. I did say, and although it has never happened, nothing prevents an ex president from becoming vice....following that to conclusion, in event of impeachment, death, or resignation of the elected president could become president again.

They are treated humanly. Good lord you fools believe any left wing propaganda you read. Those detention facilities (cages) were constructed during the Obama administration with the same exact enforcement rules. Not one peep out of you or your ilk when Obama was doing it and there shouldn't have been. It's called doing the best you can with what you have. Why the overcrowding? Because the stupid party you support blindly has encouraged thousands to make this dangerous journey to our country. Your party also doesn't want to change the refugee laws and gives sanctuary to illegal criminals already here, so quit talking like some damn fool about humane treatment. Ask the American citizens who have had loved ones killed by illegal criminals who were here because these idiotic Democrats refuse to hand them over to ICE.

There was an unaccompanied minor crisis during the Obama administration but never a child separation policy that is going strong. Don't point fingers at the Democratic party.--Look at who is in charge. People have been crossing our border illegally as long as there has been one. We can maintain border security and be humane at the same time. Just do it. The hype that thousands of killers . rapists and gang members are coming is just that--an excuse to refuse asylum or a work visa or application for citizenship or in the case of Bahamians simple shelter in a time of dire need.

I am a moderate as far as I think I am. Some of what you would call Liberal disturbs me as much as some of what I think is radical and hurtful.
