What to look for pre volcanic eruptions is the 'Harmonic tremors" . The YouTube videos, internet blogs and even many scientist wanting to get their name in the news, or increase YouTube subscriptions for advertising commissions inaccurately push "Scare news"..... Oh my God, swarms at Yellowstone stone, Is this the beginning of the End!!!! Some even have regular reporting picking through data causing fear because now they report Old Faithful's behavior is signs of a coming eruption.....they feed on ignorance and fear.
Swarms are nothing more (in the absence of Harmonic Tremors) than what I previously described as earthquake energy passing through the plate seeking out weak/Thin points in the earth's crust. I don't like using the term "Mother Nature" but let's say mother nature creates Volcanoes , the magma under pressure seeks out weak points and punches up through the earth's crust making a volcanoe and these are the very points earthquake energy "Mother nature " seeking out weak points. So when you hear that swarms are breaking out at Mt Saint Helens or Shasta ( which has been happening since I first began researching earthquakes and long before me) look up and see if "Harmonic Tremors " are being reported since they on a scale large enough to be concerned are very rare in the states.
With that said, I'm watching to see if the recent increase in our entire plate shifting is going to effect volcanic activity in the States along with combined energy of our historic 70,000 ft Volcanic blast.

I'm slowly working on a website. When finished subscribers will be able to receive alerts by State, region and or city several days before an earthquake strikes. Alerts will include magnitudes with links for more detailed information.
I have to chuckle when I read about California's earthquake alert App that is suppose to give anywhere from seconds to two to three minutes warning and has yet to function. The leaders in this alert app are none other than the USGS with California geological agencies attempting to make a warning system on flawed methodology .
The website is still a few months out while I'm working on logistical challenges but will notify all Opp members when it's in place.
If this forums administration allows me to continue with updates and earthquake forecast I'll thank them with a free link on my website to their forum.
What is your general location? I can give you a cursory risk assessment.

Sorry to get back to your reply so late.

I'm watching just off the Coast of Vancouver now and a lot of energy is moving towards Alaska in the days to come. The path for the states goes from Indonesia, up to Japan, Alaska then down often on a path that just misses Vancouver but as we've seen over the last few months if enough combined energy is at play then Vancover gets earthquakes and usually just off the coast.
The good news is "Off coast" and usually larger quakes are in the fives and six magnitude range.
A watch means ... when I see deeper, larger earthquakes in Indonesia I know energy will travel along plate boundries or flows like a river ending in the States ( for United states forecasting) .
When several deep earthquake's strike I'm watching to see if the energy combines or not..... I'm watching...

An "Update" is still sometimes general but includes conclusions and general expectations.

A " Forecast" is more specific. I have determined the expected energy, the path the energy is taking and which locations will receive a specific magnitude +/- half a magnitude and have over an 80% accuracy in forecasting. Which means I make errors almost 20% of the time. I'll considering that a win.😀


Because of the historic eruption and recent Deep earthquake's I'm putting a watch on Japan, Alaska, off coast Vancouver Island, off coast from the Northernmost tip of the Juan d Fuca fault to the most Southern tip ( the fault runs South of Vancouver to Northern California) also including all the states that run along the edge of the Craton for larger earthquakes.

Its possible to see a 7.0-7.2 magnitude earthquake off their coast of Vancouver. The energy on land would be about a full magnitude less.

I'll post updates and a forecast in the days ahead.

I don't know, during the years I lived in Reno, somewhere around 1994 or 5, we had a small earthquake.

It was felt enough that some dude from local TV news came into where I worked, wanting to borrow one of our survelllance videotapes from during the shake to see how it affected the casino.

The casino shift manager and head of surveillance told him that it was up to the on-duty security shift supervisor, which happened to be me.

The answer, of course, was no, I wouldn't let any of that stuff go without a subpoena or unless it was evidence in a lawsuit involving my employers, but there was nothing to see, anyway. All we'd felt was a kind of mild "slam" and several seconds of vibrations, it wasn't like chips were flying off tables or anything.

I never did learn whether there were any fault lines or other venues of diastrophism in northern Nevada.

My step dad, told me when I got back to CA from Florida, that the house they lived in had been just a BIT off the only damage to their house was a couple of cracked bits from door frame to ceiling from the inside garage door..all in all, the earth quake put their house to rights.. I guess square n plumb...

Yep, pretty much my experience from Nor Cal where I lived in Foresthill.. and had that weee 5 pointer... the swag lamp swayed and my wolf dog was goin Nuts.. Pacing etc... so I knew it was an earthquake. Since I've been in NOR NV... on my street.. the UPS truck can rock this house under my bum, but nothing else is disturbed.. Not sayin there aren't earthquakes in N. NV but I have yet to feel one! Yay n Shit!!!

On any given week there are 6-10+ volcanoes erupting.
Leftist like to quote studies when there were that same number of eruptions in a year. Which is only going back about 50 years. The Volcanic increases in eruptions makes anything mankind worldwide puts into the air .ooooooo1% of what eruptions are doing todate.
Most recent leftist following the political agenda recognize that the earth is moving towards a cooling and as a result blaming man for it. Thus regardless of warming or cooling the man made climate change leftist agenda remains full steam ahead.

I use the USGS app but also a few other paid subscription.

USGS very often does not report earthquakes and also manipulates magnitudes to the lower side, often a full magnitude.

Here are apps that I highly recommend anyone intrested in understanding earthquakes (I'm happy to teach others how to forecast earthquakes)

Once apps are downloaded be sure preferences are set to maximum depth.

Depth is key to understanding the magnitude of earthquakes to strike the states . You will find some apps have the depth on the main listing page while others require you to click on each individual quake for depth. The "EQ" app is one of my favorites because it uses multiple agencies to gather information. However each app has its place. Another valuable feature is the coordinates. Making it quick to cut and paste the coordinates into Google earth. This is a must have feature and by viewing Google earth you will see the many volcanic formations/Deformations and of course those thousands of oil and gas drill pads . After looking up Google earth a dozen or so times when earthquakes are reported in Colorado, Kansas, Texas and nearly every earthquake within X Mark's the spot to within 10-14 miles there are hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of drill pads.
California at Clear lake Volcanoe, or Hells kitchen near Mammoth Mountain/ Coso Junction and then the Sultan sea volcanoe you will find Geo thermo drilling. It doesn't take long to understand when earthquake energy is heading southbound for the lower 48 from Alaska these areas are guaranteed to have earthquakes and then the question to solve "When and what magnitude ".
